Now Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, the Lord is the God of Israel. So give him glory and honor him by telling the truth! Tell me what you have done. Don’t hide it from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord God of Israel and give praise to him. And tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, by telling the truth. Make your confession and tell me what you have done. Don’t hide it from me.”

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and make a confession to him. I urge you, tell me what you have done. Don’t hide anything from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.”

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to Jehovah, the God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and make a confession to Him. I urge you, tell me what you have done. Don’t hide anything from me.”

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide[ it] not from me.

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, honor the LORD God of Israel and give him praise! Tell me what you did; don’t hide anything from me!”

Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, please give glory to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”

Therefore you shall make images of your tumors and images of your rats that ravage the land, and you shall give glory to the God of Israel; perhaps He will lighten His hand from you, from your gods, and from your land.

Give glory to the Lord your God Before He causes darkness, And before your feet stumble On the dark mountains, And while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death And makes it dense darkness.

Then Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” And Jonathan told him, and said,“ I only tasted a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand. So now I must die!”

So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him,“ Give God the glory! We know that this Man is a sinner.”

And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of the Lord; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.

“ Speak to the children of Israel:‘ When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit in unfaithfulness against the Lord, and that person is guilty,then he shall confess the sin which he has committed. He shall make restitution for his trespass in full, plus one-fifth of it, and give it to the one he has wronged.

Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Then Ezra the priest stood up and said to them,“ You have transgressed and have taken pagan wives, adding to the guilt of Israel.Now therefore, make confession to the Lord God of your fathers, and do His will; separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the pagan wives.”

in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say:‘ return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;‘ I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;‘ I will not remain angry forever.Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God, And have scattered your charms To alien deities under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord.

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said,“ I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

Then they said to him,“ Please tell us! For whose cause is this trouble upon us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? And of what people are you?”So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him,“ Why have you done this?” For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.

Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold, A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir.

that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience;
