因为你不是喜爱邪恶的神，恶人不能与你同住。狂傲的人不能站在你眼前；凡作恶的，都是你所恨恶的。

恶人虽无人追赶也逃跑；义人却胆壮像狮子。

他们纵然将儿女养大，我却要使他们丧子，一个也不留。我离弃他们，他们就有祸了。

耶路撒冷啊，当受管教，免得我心与你生疏，免得我使你荒凉，成为无人居住之地。”

你不可把可憎之物带进你的家，否则，你就像它一样成为当毁灭的。你要彻底憎恨它，极其厌恶它，因为这是当毁灭的。”

你的眼目清洁，不看邪恶，也不看奸恶，为何你却看着人行诡诈呢？恶人吞灭比自己公义的人，为何你保持沉默呢？

哈该又说：“若有人因摸尸体染了不洁净，然后接触任何东西，这东西就变为不洁净吗？”祭司回答说：“必不洁净。”于是哈该说：“耶和华说，在我面前这民如此，这国也是如此；他们手里的各样工作都是如此；他们在那里所献的都不洁净。”

无论是这百姓、是先知、是祭司，问你说：“耶和华有什么默示呢？”你就对他们说：“什么默示啊？我已撇弃你们了。这是耶和华说的。”

但你们的罪孽使你们与神隔绝，你们的罪恶使他转脸不听你们。

耶和华的使者向以色列众人说这些话的时候，百姓放声大哭。

你们今日竟然离弃耶和华不跟从他！你们今日既然悖逆耶和华，明日他必向以色列全会众发怒。若你们认为所得为业之地不洁净，可以过来，到耶和华之地，就是耶和华的帐幕所居住之地，在我们中间得地业。你们却不可悖逆耶和华，也不可背叛我们，在耶和华—我们神的坛以外为自己筑坛。从前谢拉的曾孙亚干岂不是在那当灭的物上犯了罪，导致愤怒临到以色列全会众吗？死在他所犯的罪中的，不只是他一个人而已！’”
