Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.

Israel has sinned. I made a covenant with them. I commanded them to keep it. But they have broken it. They have taken some of the things that had been set apart to me in a special way to be destroyed. They have stolen. They have lied. They have taken the things they stole and have put them with their own things.

Israel has sinned; they have transgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings.

Israel has sinned and broken my covenant! They have stolen some of the things that I commanded must be set apart for me. And they have not only stolen them but have lied about it and hidden the things among their own belongings.

有一個人名叫亞拿尼亞，同他妻子撒非拉，把田產賣了。他私底下把錢留了一部分，妻子也知道這件事。他把其餘的一部分帶來，放在使徒的腳前。

這城要完全毀滅，城和城中的一切都歸耶和華；只有妓女喇合，和所有與她在家中的都可以存活，因為她收藏了我們派去的使者。不過你們要謹慎，不可取那當毀滅的物，恐怕你們貪心，取了那當毀滅的物，就使以色列營成為當毀滅的，使以色列營遭遇災禍。可是，所有的金銀和銅鐵的器皿，都要歸耶和華為聖，存入耶和華的庫房中。”

亞干回答約書亞，說：“我實在得罪了耶和華以色列的神；我作過的事是這樣的。我在戰利品中，看見了一件美麗的示拿衣服、二千二百八十克銀子，和一條重五百七十克的金條；我因貪愛這些物件，就把它們拿去了；現在埋藏在我帳棚的地裡，銀子在底下。”

他們回答：“凱撒的。”他就對他們說：“凱撒的應當歸給凱撒，神的應當歸給神。”

大地被其上的居民玷污，因為他們犯了律法，違了律例，背了永遠的約。

他進去，侍立在他主人面前，以利沙對他說：“基哈西，你從哪裡來？”他說：“你的僕人沒有到過甚麼地方。”以利沙對他說：“那人下車轉身迎著你的時候，我的心不是和你同去嗎？現在不是收受銀子、衣服、橄欖園、葡萄園、羊、牛、僕人和婢女的時候。

被造的在神面前沒有一樣不是顯明的，萬有在他的眼前都是赤露敞開的；我們必須向他交帳。

“在你中間，就是耶和華你的神賜給你的任何一座城裡，如果發現有人，無論是男是女，行耶和華你的神眼中看為惡的事，違犯了他的約，

以色列人在那當毀滅的物上犯了不忠實的罪；因為猶大支派中，謝拉的曾孫、撒底的孫子、迦米的兒子亞干，取了當毀滅的物，耶和華就向以色列人發怒。

這新約不像從前我拉他們祖先的手，領他們出埃及地的日子，與他們所立的約；我雖然是他們的丈夫，他們卻違背了我的約。”這是耶和華的宣告。

彼得說：“你們為甚麼串同試探主的靈呢？你看，埋你丈夫的人的腳，已經到了門口，他們也要把你抬出去。”

於是耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，說：“因為這國的人違背我吩咐他們列祖的約，不聽從我的話，

這是因為他們不聽從耶和華他們神的話，違背他的約；耶和華的僕人摩西吩咐的一切，他們都不聽從，不遵行。

如果你們違背了耶和華你們的神吩咐你們遵守的約，去事奉別的神，敬拜他們，耶和華必向你們大發烈怒，使你們從他賜給你們的美地上迅速滅亡。”

人怎可搶奪神之物呢？你們卻搶奪屬我之物，竟還問：‘我們搶奪了你的甚麼呢？’就是搶奪了當納的十分之一和當獻的祭物。你們要受嚴厲的咒詛，因你們全國的人都搶奪了屬我之物。”

“如果有人在耶和華的聖物上不忠實，無意犯了罪，他就要依照你按著聖所衡量銀子標準所估的銀價，把他的贖愆祭牲，就是羊群中一隻沒有殘疾的公綿羊，牽到耶和華面前作贖愆祭。

耶和華這樣說：“我離棄了你們的母親，休書在哪裡呢？或者我的債主中，哪一個是我把你們賣了給他的呢？看哪！你們被賣是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被離棄是因你們的過犯。為甚麼我來的時候，沒有人在呢？為甚麼我呼喚的時候，沒有人答應呢？難道我的手太軟弱不能救贖嗎？或是我沒有能力拯救嗎？看哪！我以斥責使海乾涸，我使江河變成曠野，江河的魚因無水發臭，因乾渴而死。

萬軍之耶和華說：‘我要使這書卷出去，進入盜賊的家和指著我的名起假誓之人的家，這書卷必留在他的家中，要把他家裡的木料和石頭都毀滅（這是萬軍之耶和華說的）。’”

這些國民豈不都用譬喻、諷刺、暗語指著他們說：“那些濫得他人財物的，滿載別人抵押品的，有禍了！他們這樣要到幾時呢？”

“為甚麼不把這香膏賣三百銀幣，賙濟窮人呢？”他說這話，並不是因為他關懷窮人，而是因為他是個賊，又帶著錢囊，常取其中所存的。

可是他們卻在亞當城背約，在那裡向我行詭詐。
