當滅之物、爾宜慎而遠之、免取當滅之物、使以色列營服詛而遭禍、

所獻與所滅者勿取、恐爾亦為盡滅、使以色列族之營壘服詛、而累於禍。

物歸於主或為當滅者、爾自慎、勿取之、取之則成為當滅者、並使以色列全營亦為當滅者、陷之於禍、

But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it.

But keep away from the things that have been set apart to the Lord. If you take any of them, you will be destroyed. And you will bring trouble on the camp of Israel. You will cause it to be destroyed.

But you, keep yourselves from the things devoted to destruction, lest when you have devoted them you take any of the devoted things and make the camp of Israel a thing for destruction and bring trouble upon it.

“ Do not take any of the things set apart for destruction, or you yourselves will be completely destroyed, and you will bring trouble on the camp of Israel.

But keep yourselves from the things set apart, or you will be set apart for destruction. If you take any of those things, you will set apart the camp of Israel for destruction and make trouble for it.

But as for you, only keep yourselves from the things designated for destruction, so that you do not covet them and take some of the designated things, and turn the camp of Israel into something designated for destruction and bring disaster on it.

And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.

But as for you, only keep yourselves from the devoted thing, lest when ye have devoted it, ye take of the devoted thing; so would ye make the camp of Israel accursed, and trouble it.

But keep yourselves from the things set apart, or you will be set apart for destruction. If you take any of those things, you will set apart the camp of Israel for destruction and bring disaster on it.

And ye, in any wise keep[ yourselves] from the accursed thing, lest ye make[ yourselves] accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.

But be careful when you are setting apart the riches for the LORD. If you take any of it, you will make the Israelite camp subject to annihilation and cause a disaster.

But as for you, only keep yourselves from what is devoted to destruction, lest when you have devoted it, you take of the devoted thing; so you would make the camp of Israel accursed and trouble it.

你們不要參與那些屬黑暗結不出果子的事，反而要把那些事揭露出來，

「所以主說：你們要從他們中間出來，要被分別出來；不要碰不潔淨的東西，我就接納你們」，

愛，不要虛假；要厭棄惡、持守善；

大衛年間，連續有三年的饑荒。大衛尋求耶和華的面，耶和華說：「這與掃羅和他家殺人流血有關，因為他曾經殺害基遍人。」

約拿就對他們說：「你們把我抬起來，拋進海中，海就會為你們平靜下來，因為我知道這場臨到你們的大風暴是因我的緣故。」

智慧勝過戰鬥的武器，但一個罪人能毀了許多好事。

軍兵中有人告訴他說：「你父親讓大家鄭重起誓說：『今天吃東西的人，是受詛咒的！』所以軍兵就疲乏了。」約拿單說：「我父親給這地帶來了麻煩。你們看，我嘗了一點這蜂蜜，眼睛就明亮了。如果今天軍兵能隨意吃從仇敵奪來的東西，那該多好！現在被擊殺的非利士人不就更多了嗎？」那天他們擊殺非利士人，從米克瑪直到阿雅崙，軍兵非常疲乏。軍兵衝向戰利品，取來羊、牛和牛犢，在地上宰殺，然後軍兵們帶著血就吃了。有人報告掃羅說：「看哪，人們在吃帶血的肉，對耶和華犯罪了。」掃羅說：「你們背信了！現在把一塊大石頭滾到我這裡來！」他又說：「你們分散開來，到軍兵中去吩咐他們：各人要把自己的牛羊牽到我這裡來，在這裡宰殺了吃；不可吃帶血的肉而得罪耶和華。」於是那夜，所有軍兵都把各自手裡的牛牽來，在那裡宰殺了。之後掃羅為耶和華築了一座祭壇，這是他為耶和華築的第一座祭壇。掃羅說：「我們要趁夜下去追趕非利士人，掠奪他們直到天亮，不讓他們一人存留。」軍兵說：「你看怎樣好就怎樣做吧！」但祭司說：「讓我們在這裡求問神。」掃羅就求問神：「我可以下去追趕非利士人嗎？你會把他們交在以色列人手中嗎？」那一天，神沒有回應他。掃羅說：「所有軍兵的首領，你們都上這裡來，要查看今天這罪是怎麼發生的！我指著拯救以色列的耶和華的永生起誓：即使罪在我的兒子約拿單，他也必須死！」全體軍兵中沒有人回應他。他對全體以色列人說：「你們站在這一邊，我和我兒子約拿單在那一邊。」軍兵對掃羅說：「你看怎樣好就怎樣做吧！」掃羅對耶和華以色列的神說：「求你指明正確的抽籤結果！」於是約拿單和掃羅被抽中，軍兵都脫罪了。掃羅說：「在我和我兒子約拿單之間抽籤吧。」結果約拿單被抽中了。

在父神看來，純潔而沒有玷汙的虔誠是這樣的：照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且保守自己不受世界的玷汙。
