and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, from right where the priests are standing, and carry them over with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight.”

Tell them to get 12 stones from the middle of the river. They must pick them up from right where the priests stood. They must carry the stones over with all of you. And they must put them down at the place where you will stay tonight.”

and command them, saying,‘ Take twelve stones from here out of the midst of the Jordan, from the very place where the priests’ feet stood firmly, and bring them over with you and lay them down in the place where you lodge tonight.’”

以色列人就照約書亞的吩咐，也就是照耶和華對約書亞的吩咐，按以色列人支派的數目，從約旦河中取了十二塊石頭，搬來放在住宿的地方。

當祭司抬著天下之主——耶和華的約櫃一踏進約旦河，往下流的河水必會止住，形成一道水堤。」

撒母耳拿了一塊石頭放在米斯巴和善的中間，稱之為以便以謝，說：「耶和華到如今都幫助我們。」

耶和華在祂的聖殿裡，坐在天上的寶座上，放眼巡視，察看世人。

我立為柱子的這塊石頭必成為上帝的殿。凡你賜給我的，我必把十分之一獻給你。」

耶穌說：「我告訴你們，如果他們閉口不言，這些石頭都要呼喊了！」

然後，他對民眾說：「看啊，這塊石頭可以為我們作證，它聽到了耶和華所吩咐我們的話。如果你們背棄上帝，它必作證。」

我的心啊，要稱頌耶和華，不要忘記祂的一切恩惠。

摩西率以色列眾長老吩咐民眾說：「你們要遵守我今天吩咐你們的一切誡命。你們渡過約旦河、進入你們的上帝耶和華應許給你們的土地那天，要豎立幾塊大石，塗上石灰。你們渡過約旦河、進入你們祖先的上帝耶和華應許要賜給你們的奶蜜之鄉後，要把這律法一字不漏地寫在大石上。你們渡過約旦河後，要照我今日的吩咐在以巴路山上豎立這些石頭，塗上石灰。要在那裡為你們的上帝耶和華築一座石壇，不要用鐵器鑿刻石頭。要用未鑿過的石頭為你們的上帝耶和華築一座壇，在上面獻燔祭給祂；又要獻上平安祭，在祂面前吃喝快樂。你們要把這律法一字不漏、清清楚楚地寫在那幾塊大石上。」摩西率利未祭司對全體以色列人說：「以色列人啊，要肅靜聆聽！你們今天已成為你們上帝耶和華的子民。你們要聽從祂，遵守祂今天藉我吩咐你們的誡命和律例。」那天，摩西吩咐民眾說：「你們渡過約旦河後，西緬、利未、猶大、以薩迦、約瑟和便雅憫支派要站在基利心山上為民眾祝福；呂便、迦得、亞設、西布倫、但和拿弗他利支派要站在以巴路山上宣告咒詛。利未人要對所有以色列人高聲說，『凡雕刻或鑄造耶和華所憎惡的神像，並偷偷供奉的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡不尊敬父母的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡挪移鄰居界石的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡故意帶領盲人走錯路的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『不公正地對待寄居者和孤兒寡婦的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡與父親的妻妾亂倫，使父親蒙羞的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡與獸交合的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡與同父或同母姊妹亂倫的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡與岳母亂倫的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡暗殺鄰居的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡因收受賄賂而殺害無辜的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』『凡不遵行這律法的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』
