So Joshua gave the command.

So Joshua commanded the priests,“ Come up out of the Jordan.”

“ Leave the boat, all of you— you and your wife, and your sons and their wives.Release all the animals— the birds, the livestock, and the small animals that scurry along the ground— so they can be fruitful and multiply throughout the earth.”So Noah, his wife, and his sons and their wives left the boat.

The next morning the city officials sent the police to tell the jailer,“ Let those men go!”So the jailer told Paul,“ The city officials have said you and Silas are free to leave. Go in peace.”But Paul replied,“ They have publicly beaten us without a trial and put us in prison— and we are Roman citizens. So now they want us to leave secretly? Certainly not! Let them come themselves to release us!”When the police reported this, the city officials were alarmed to learn that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens.So they came to the jail and apologized to them. Then they brought them out and begged them to leave the city.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came as close as he could to the door of the flaming furnace and shouted:“ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stepped out of the fire.

They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape.
