適當伊及與以色列兩軍之間、在彼則為雲為暗、在此則為光於夜、致彼此終夜不得相近、

法老相離不遠、以色列人舉目見伊及人來追、懼甚、遂呼籲主、

摩西即伸手於海上、既旦、海水復翻騰、或作水合如故伊及人迎水奔馳、主乃投伊及人於海中、海水回流、淹沒追以色列人入海之法老車馬全軍、靡有孑遺、

摩西召以色列眾告之曰、主爾之天主於爾目前、在伊及地、於法老與其諸臣及其通國所行之事、為爾所睹、

蓋以色列人遊行於曠野、歷四十年、待出伊及之民中一切戰士皆死、因其不遵主言、故主向其發誓、不容其得見主誓於列祖、必賜我儕之地、即流乳與蜜之地、

曾有何神來試用大能、試用大能或作用試驗異跡、奇事、爭戰、大力大威大力大威原文作大能手與伸臂下同以及可畏之大事、以導一族之民出於他族乎、此皆主爾之天主為爾在伊及於爾目前所行之事、

爾曹子嗣、必負爾悖逆之罪、在曠野飄流歷四十年、直待爾俱亡成屍、爾窺探其地、歷四十日、爾因罪受罰、一年抵一日、歷四十年、使爾知我之棄爾也、

以色列人見主向伊及人所施之大能、或作向伊及人所行之大事遂敬畏主、信服主與主之僕摩西、

昔以色列民之天主、選我列祖、及民旅於伊及時、天主舉之、施展大力、施展大力原文作以高舉之臂導出其地、在曠野撫養之、約四十年、

其後爾曹居於迦叠、居彼多日、

彼時爾曹列祖、雖見我之作為、仍試我探我、彼世代四十年間、激我厭惡、我曰、彼乃心中偏邪之民、不明我道、

主晝以雲柱導之、夜以火柱照其當行之路、主降臨西乃山、自天訓之、賜以正直之典章、真實之律法、至善之條例、誡命、示之安息聖日、託主之僕摩西命之以誡命、條例、律法、其饑時、主賜糧降於天、其渴時、主為之使水出於磐、主亦命之往得所誓必賜之地、當時之民、即我列祖、狂妄強項、不聽主命、不欲順從、不追念主為其所行之奇事、強項背逆、自立一長、欲返為奴之地、惟主為天主赦宥、仁慈、矜憐、容忍、大施恩惠、仍不棄之、雖鑄牛犢、彼此曰、此即導爾出伊及之神、行大褻瀆之事、行大褻瀆之事或作行事大干主怒下同主仍大施矜憐、不棄之於野、晝則雲柱仍不離、導之於路、夜則火柱仍不熄、照其當行之路、主又賜聖善之神以訓之、仍賜瑪拿、不絕於其口、賜之水飲、以止其渴、歷四十年、主養之於野、無所缺乏、其衣不敝、其足不腫、

天主於四十年間怒誰、非犯罪而屍仆於曠野者乎、
