法老相去伊邇、以色列族舉目、見埃及人追襲其後、懼甚、呼籲耶和華、

摩西伸手指海、及旦、水復反如故、埃及人趨而避之、耶和華投之於海、法老之軍旅車騎、追隨以色列族入於海者、海水回流、悉淹沒之、靡有孑遺、

摩西召以色列眾、告之曰、昔爾目擊耶和華在埃及、行於法老與臣、及其全地之事、

蓋以色列人遊行曠野、歷四十年、迨出埃及民之戰士皆死、以其不遵耶和華命故也、耶和華昔所誓於列祖、必錫我儕流乳與蜜之地、今則發誓、不許見之、

上帝豈曾以試鍊、異蹟、奇事、爭戰、能手、奮臂、大而可畏之事、於他國中導出他民、如爾上帝耶和華為爾所行於埃及、爾所目擊者乎、

爾之子女、緣爾狥欲、必負其罪、流離於野、歷四十年、迨爾尸骸消滅、爾窺厥地、歷四十日、今將以日易年、爾負其罪、歷四十載、使知我離逖焉、

又見耶和華於埃及人所施之大能、遂寅畏耶和華、而篤信之、亦信其僕摩西、

此以色列民之上帝、選我列祖、且當民旅埃及時拔之、舉手引之出、在曠野包容之、約四十年、

於是爾居加低斯、積有多日、

維時、爾祖見我所為、猶探我試我兮、歷年四十、我厭此代曰、斯民心迷、未識我途兮、

晝在雲柱導之、夜在火柱燭其當行之路、爾降臨於西乃山、自天諭之、賜以中正之律例、誠實之法度、美善之典章誡命、示知安息聖日、又藉爾僕摩西、以誡命典章法律諭之、爾以天降之糧充其飢、磐湧之水解其渴、昔爾舉手而誓、所錫之地、命彼入而據之、惟我列祖、驕矜強項、不聽爾命、不肯順從、不念爾於其中所行之奇事、強項悖逆、自立一帥、欲返奴隸之境、惟爾上帝、樂於赦宥、仁慈矜憫、遲於發怒、富有恩惠、不離棄之、彼眾鑄犢、自謂此為導爾出埃及之上帝、大干震怒、爾仍施恩豐盛、不棄之於野、晝以雲柱導之於途、夜以火柱燭其當行之路、無時或離、錫爾聖善之靈、以訓迪之、使瑪那不缺於其口、賜水以解其渴、歷四十年、爾養之於野、無所匱乏、厥衣不敝、厥足不腫、

又四十年彼所不悅者誰耶、非干罰而屍仆於野者乎、
