When I brought your people out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.

When I brought your people out, they came to the Red Sea. The people of Egypt chased them with chariots and with men on horses. They chased them all the way to the sea.

“‘ Then I brought your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea. And the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.

But when your ancestors arrived at the Red Sea, the Egyptians chased after you with chariots and charioteers.

Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:“ Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite Baal Zephon; you shall camp before it by the sea.For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel,‘ They are bewildered by the land; the wilderness has closed them in.’Then I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, so that he will pursue them; and I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.Now it was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled, and the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people; and they said,“ Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”So he made ready his chariot and took his people with him.Also, he took six hundred choice chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt with captains over every one of them.And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; and the children of Israel went out with boldness.So the Egyptians pursued them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and overtook them camping by the sea beside Pi Hahiroth, before Baal Zephon.And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.Then they said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying,‘ Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”And Moses said to the people,“ Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”And the Lord said to Moses,“ Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.

Who led them by the right hand of Moses, With His glorious arm, Dividing the water before them To make for Himself an everlasting name,Who led them through the deep, As a horse in the wilderness, That they might not stumble?”

To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever;And made Israel pass through the midst of it, For His mercy endures forever;But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His mercy endures forever;

And it came to pass, on that very same day, that the Lord brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies.

For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I redeemed you from the house of bondage; And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.

You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. SelahThe waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled.The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also flashed about.The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook.Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters, And Your footsteps were not known.You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

He divided the sea and caused them to pass through; And He made the waters stand up like a heap.

Then the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children.

And You divided the sea before them, So that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; And their persecutors You threw into the deep, As a stone into the mighty waters.

He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
