When I brought your people out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.

When I brought your people out, they came to the Red Sea. The people of Egypt chased them with chariots and with men on horses. They chased them all the way to the sea.

“‘ Then I brought your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea. And the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.

But when your ancestors arrived at the Red Sea, the Egyptians chased after you with chariots and charioteers.

The LORD spoke to Moses:“ Tell the Israelites that they must turn and camp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; you are to camp by the sea before Baal Zephon opposite it.Pharaoh will think regarding the Israelites,‘ They are wandering around confused in the land– the desert has closed in on them.’I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them. I will gain honor because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So this is what they did.When it was reported to the king of Egypt that the people had fled, the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people, and the king and his servants said,“ What in the world have we done? For we have released the people of Israel from serving us!”Then he prepared his chariots and took his army with him.He took six hundred select chariots, and all the rest of the chariots of Egypt, and officers on all of them.But the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he chased after the Israelites. Now the Israelites were going out defiantly.The Egyptians chased after them, and all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-Zephon.When Pharaoh got closer, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians marching after them, and they were terrified. The Israelites cried out to the LORD,and they said to Moses,“ Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the desert? What in the world have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?Isn’t this what we told you in Egypt,‘ Leave us alone so that we can serve the Egyptians, because it is better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!’”Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the LORD that he will provide for you today; for the Egyptians that you see today you will never, ever see again.The LORD will fight for you, and you can be still.”The LORD said to Moses,“ Why do you cry out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.

the one who made his majestic power available to Moses, who divided the water before them, gaining for himself a lasting reputation,who led them through the deep water? Like a horse running on flat land they did not stumble.

to the one who divided the Red Sea in two, for his loyal love endures,and led Israel through its midst, for his loyal love endures,and tossed Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea, for his loyal love endures,

And on this very day the LORD brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their regiments.

In fact, I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I delivered you from that place of slavery. I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to lead you.

By faith they crossed the Red Sea as if on dry ground, but when the Egyptians tried it, they were swallowed up.

You delivered your people by your strength– the children of Jacob and Joseph.( Selah)The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you and trembled. Yes, the depths of the sea shook with fear.The clouds poured down rain; the skies thundered. Yes, your arrows flashed about.Your thunderous voice was heard in the wind; the lightning bolts lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook.You walked through the sea; you passed through the surging waters, but left no footprints.You led your people like a flock of sheep, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

He divided the sea and led them across it; he made the water stand in a heap.

The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Sukkoth. There were about 600,000 men on foot, plus their dependants.

You split the sea before them, and they crossed through the sea on dry ground! But you threw their pursuers into the depths, like a stone into surging waters.

This man led them out, performing wonders and miraculous signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.
