When I brought your people out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.

When I brought your people out, they came to the Red Sea. The people of Egypt chased them with chariots and with men on horses. They chased them all the way to the sea.

And they did so.And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses[ and] chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.And they said unto Moses, Because[ there were] no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?[ Is] not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For[ it had been] better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

That led[ them] by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness,[ that] they should not stumble?

To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.

And it came to pass the selfsame day,[ that] the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry[ land]: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

Thou hast with[ thine] arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.The voice of thy thunder[ was] in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.Thy way[ is] in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.

And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot[ that were] men, beside children.

And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.

He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
