When I brought your people out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.

When I brought your people out, they came to the Red Sea. The people of Egypt chased them with chariots and with men on horses. They chased them all the way to the sea.

Then I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So the Israelites did this.When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about the people and said,“ What have we done? We have released Israel from serving us.”So he got his chariot ready and took his troops with him;he took six hundred of the best chariots and all the rest of the chariots of Egypt, with officers in each one.The LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the Israelites, who were going out defiantly.The Egyptians— all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots, his horsemen, and his army— chased after them and caught up with them as they camped by the sea beside Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and there were the Egyptians coming after them! The Israelites were terrified and cried out to the LORD for help.They said to Moses,“ Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?Isn’t this what we told you in Egypt: Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”But Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see the LORD’s salvation that he will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.The LORD will fight for you, and you must be quiet.”The LORD said to Moses,“ Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to break camp.

He made his glorious strength available at the right hand of Moses, divided the water before them to make an eternal name for himself,and led them through the depths like a horse in the wilderness, so that they did not stumble.

On that same day the LORD brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt according to their military divisions.

Indeed, I brought you up from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from that place of slavery. I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam ahead of you.

By faith they crossed the Red Sea as though they were on dry land. When the Egyptians attempted to do this, they were drowned.

The earth shook and quaked.Your way went through the sea and your path through the vast water, but your footprints were unseen.You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

He split the sea and brought them across; the water stood firm like a wall.

The Israelites traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand able-bodied men on foot, besides their families.

You divided the sea before them, and they crossed through it on dry ground. You hurled their pursuers into the depths like a stone into raging water.

This man led them out and performed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.
