亞倫的兒子以利亞撒娶了普鐵的一個女兒為妻，她給他生了非尼哈。這是利未人的家長，都按着他們的家。

他必見智慧人死，又見愚頑人和畜類人一同滅亡，將他們的財貨留給別人。

如果這樣，他從創世以來，就必多次受苦了。但如今在這末世顯現一次，把自己獻為祭，好除掉罪。按着定命，人人都有一死，死後且有審判。

你們的列祖在哪裏呢？那些先知能永遠存活嗎？

以色列人在迦南地所得的產業，就是祭司以利亞撒和嫩的兒子約書亞，並以色列各支派的族長所分給他們的，都記在下面，

把亞倫的聖衣脫下來，給他的兒子以利亞撒穿上；亞倫必死在那裏，歸他列祖。」摩西就照耶和華所吩咐的行。三人當着會眾的眼前上了何珥山。摩西把亞倫的聖衣脫下來，給他的兒子以利亞撒穿上，亞倫就死在山頂那裏。於是摩西和以利亞撒下了山。

「大衛在世的時候遵行了神的旨意，就睡了，歸到他祖宗那裏，已見朽壞；

祭司亞倫的兒子以利亞撒作利未人眾首領的領袖，要監察那些看守聖所的人。

義人死亡，無人放在心上；虔誠人被收去，無人思念。這義人被收去是免了將來的禍患；他們得享平安。素行正直的，各人在墳裏安歇。

這位既是永遠常存的，他祭司的職任就長久不更換。

亞倫娶了亞米拿達的女兒，拿順的妹妹，以利沙巴為妻，她給他生了拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒、以他瑪。

我知道要使我臨到死地，到那為眾生所定的陰宅。
