約書亞對全體人民說：“看哪，這塊石頭可以向我們作證，因為它聽見了耶和華對我們所說的一切話；所以這塊石頭要向你們作證，免得你們否認你們的神。”

约书亚对百姓说：“看哪，这石头可以向我们作见证；因为是听见了耶和华所吩咐我们的一切话，倘或你们背弃你们的神，这石头就可以向你们作见证。”

约书亚对众百姓说：“看哪，这石头可以向我们作见证，因为它听见了耶和华所吩咐我们的一切话；这石头将向你们作见证，免得你们背叛你们的上帝。”

“ See!” he said to all the people.“ This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.”

And Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord that he spoke to us. Therefore it shall be a witness against you, lest you deal falsely with your God.”

Joshua said to all the people,“ This stone has heard everything the Lord said to us. It will be a witness to testify against you if you go back on your word to God.”

And Joshua said to all the people,“ You see this stone— it will be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words the LORD said to us, and it will be a witness against you, so that you will not deny your God.”

Then Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, because it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us; so it shall be a witness against you, so that you do not deny your God.”

And Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness to us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us. It shall therefore be a witness to you, lest you deny your God.”

耶穌說：“我告訴你們，他們若不出聲，石頭都要呼叫了。”

流本人和迦得人給那壇起名叫證壇，因為他們說：“這壇在我們中間證明耶和華是神。”

而是為了在你們和我們中間，也在我們的後代中間作證據，使我們也可以在耶和華面前用燔祭、別的祭和平安祭事奉耶和華，免得你們的子孫將來對我們的子孫說：你們與耶和華無分了。’因此我們說：‘將來有人對我們，或是對我們的後代這樣說，我們就可以回答：你們看我們列祖所築的壇，是耶和華的祭壇的模式，這並不是用來獻燔祭，也不是用來獻別的祭，而是在我們和你們中間作證據。’

“你們要把這律法書，放在耶和華你們的神的約櫃旁，可以在那裡作反對你們的見證，

諸天哪！要聽。大地啊！要留心聽。因為耶和華說：“我把孩子養育，使他們成長，他們卻背叛了我。

“天哪，留心吧，我要說話；地啊，聆聽我口中的言語。

因為神所降的災難使我恐懼，因他的崇高我不敢妄為。

我們若能堅忍，就必與他一同作王；我們若不認他，他必不認我們；我們縱然不信，他仍然是信實的，因為他不能否定自己。”這話是可信的。

撒母耳搬來了一塊石頭，把它豎立在米斯巴和善之間，給這塊石頭起名叫以便以謝，說：“直到現在，耶和華都幫助我們。”

在人面前不認我的，我在我天父面前也要不認他。

免得我吃飽了，就不認你，說：‘耶和華是誰？’又恐怕我貧窮，就偷竊，污瀆了我神的名。

他們遭遇許多災禍和患難的時候，這首詩歌就必在他們面前作證，因為這首詩歌必不會從他們後裔的口中忘記。其實，我還未領他們進入我起誓應許之地以先，他們今日心裡所懷的意念，我都知道了。”

石頭必從牆裡呼叫，梁木必在樹中應聲。

他們聲稱認識神，卻在行為上否認他。他們是可憎的、悖逆的，在各樣的善事上，是毫無用處的。

來吧，現在我和你可以立約，作為你我之間的證據。”雅各就拿了一塊石頭，立作石柱。雅各又對自己的眾兄弟說：“你們把石頭堆聚起來。”他們就把石頭拿來，堆成了一堆。他們又在石堆旁邊吃喝。拉班稱那石堆為伊迦爾．撒哈杜他，雅各卻稱那石堆為迦累得。拉班說：“今天這堆石頭是你我之間的證據。”因此它名叫迦累得，又名叫米斯巴，因為拉班說：“我們彼此分離以後，願耶和華在你我中間鑒察。你若苦待我的女兒，或在我的女兒以外，另娶妻子，雖然沒有人在我們中間作證，但你要注意，神就是你我之間的見證人。”拉班又對雅各說：“你看這堆石頭，看我在你我之間所豎立的石柱。這堆石頭就是證據，這石柱也是證據：我決不越過這石堆到你那裡去，你也決不可越過這石堆和石柱，到我這裡來害我。

所以，現在你們要為自己寫下這首詩歌來，教導以色列人，放在他們口中，使這首詩歌成為我反對他們的見證。

我今日呼天喚地向你們作證，我把生與死，福與禍，都擺在你面前了；所以你要選擇生命，好讓你和你的後裔都可以活著，

我今日就呼天喚地向你們作證，你們必在過約旦河取得為業的地上迅速滅亡；你們必不能在那地長久生存，必全被消滅。

我知道你的行為，看哪！我已經在你面前給你一道開著的門，是沒有人能關的；因為你有一點點力量，也遵守我的道，沒有否認我的名。
