命之曰、自約但河中、祭司立足之所、取石十二、攜之過河、置於今夜宿處、約書亞乃召所備之以色列人十二、每支派一人、謂之曰、入約但河、至爾上帝耶和華之匱前、按以色列支派之數、各取一石、荷之以肩、以為證於爾中、異日爾子孫問爾曰、此石何意、則曰、昔耶和華之約匱濟約但、水絕流於其前、此石永為以色列人之誌、以色列人按其支派之數、自約但中取石十二、攜至宿處而置之、遵耶和華諭約書亞之命、約書亞又立石十二於約但河中、在舁約匱祭司立足之所、至今猶存、
