The people said to Joshua,“ We will serve the Lord our God. We will obey him alone.”

眾民對約書亞說：“我們必事奉耶和華我們的神，必聽從他的話。”

人民對約書亞說：『永恆主我們的上帝、我們要事奉；他的聲音、我們要聽從。』

民曰、我必奉事我上帝耶和華、而聽其言、

民謂約書亞曰、我欲奉事我上帝耶和華而遵其命。

民對約書亞曰、我願崇事主我之天主、聽從其言、

And the people said to Joshua,“ We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.”

Then the people said to Joshua,“ We will serve the Lord our God. We will obey him.”

And the people said to Joshua,“ The Lord our God we will serve, and his voice we will obey.”

So the people said to Joshua,“ We will worship the LORD our God and obey him.”

And the people said to Joshua,“ We will serve the Lord our God and obey His voice.”

And the people said to Joshua,“ The Lord our God we will serve, and His voice we will obey!”

And the people said unto Joshua, Jehovah our God will we serve, and unto his voice will we hearken.

So the people said to Joshua,“ We will worship the Lord our God and obey Him.”

And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

The people said to Joshua,“ We will worship the LORD our God and obey him.”

The people said to Joshua,“ We will serve Yahweh our God, and we will listen to his voice.”

Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it aloud to the people. Again they all responded,“ We will do everything the Lord has commanded. We will obey.”

Then Moses went down to the people and repeated all the instructions and regulations the Lord had given him. All the people answered with one voice,“ We will do everything the Lord has commanded.”

Go yourself and listen to what the Lord our God says. Then come and tell us everything he tells you, and we will listen and obey.’“ The Lord heard the request you made to me. And he said,‘ I have heard what the people said to you, and they are right.Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever.

And all the people responded together,“ We will do everything the Lord has commanded.” So Moses brought the people’s answer back to the Lord.
