约书亚说：“你们现在要除掉你们中间的外邦神，专心归向耶和华以色列的神。”

约书亚说：“这样，你们现在就要摒弃你们中间的外族神明，专心归向以色列的上帝耶和华。”

「現在，你們要除掉你們中間外邦的神明，專心歸向耶和華－以色列的上帝。」

「現在，你們要除掉你們中間外邦的神明，專心歸向耶和華－以色列的神。」

約書亞說：「這樣，你們現在就要摒棄你們中間的外族神明，專心歸向以色列的上帝耶和華。」

約書亞說：那麼『現在你們要除掉你們中間外族人的神，傾心歸向永恆主以色列的上帝。』

曰、爾中所有異族之神、今當去之、專心歸從以色列之上帝耶和華、

曰汝中所有他人之上帝、今當去之、誠心相從以色列族上帝耶和華。

曰、爾中所有異邦之神、今當除之、一心歸向主以色列之天主、

“ Now then,” said Joshua,“ throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

“ Now then,” said Joshua,“ throw away the statues of the gods that are among you. People from other lands serve those gods. Give yourselves completely to the Lord. He is the God of Israel.”

He said,“ Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

“ All right then,” Joshua said,“ destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

“ Then get rid of the foreign gods that are among you and turn your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel.”

“ Now then, do away with the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

“ Now therefore,” he said,“ put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord God of Israel.”

Now therefore put away, said he, the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto Jehovah, the God of Israel.

“ Then get rid of the foreign gods that are among you and offer your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

Now therefore put away,[ said he], the strange gods which[ are] among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.

Joshua said,“ Now put aside the foreign gods that are among you and submit to the LORD God of Israel.”

“ Now therefore put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to Yahweh, the God of Israel.”

那麼，我怎麼說呢？難道說祭過偶像的食物算得了什麼嗎？或說，偶像算得了什麼嗎？不，我是說，外邦人所獻的祭是獻給鬼魔的，不是獻給神的；而我不願意你們成為與鬼魔有份的人。你們不能既喝主的杯，又喝鬼魔的杯；不能既吃主的筵席，又吃鬼魔的筵席。

神的聖所與偶像有什麼相同呢？要知道，我們是永生神的聖所，正如神所說：「我將要在他們中間居住，在他們中間往來；我將要做他們的神，他們將要做我的子民。」「所以主說：你們要從他們中間出來，要被分別出來；不要碰不潔淨的東西，我就接納你們」，「我將要做你們的父親，你們將要做我的兒女。這是主、全能者說的。」

撒母耳就對以色列全家宣告說：「你們如果全心回轉歸向耶和華，就要把外邦的神明和亞斯她錄從你們中間除掉，立定心志歸向耶和華，唯獨服事他。這樣他就會解救你們脫離非利士人的手。」於是以色列人除掉了眾巴力和亞斯她錄，唯獨服事耶和華。

因此，我們既然在領受一個不能被震動的國度，就讓我們懷有感恩的心，藉此以虔誠和敬畏，照著神所喜悅的來事奉他。要知道，我們的神實在是吞噬的烈火。

雅各就對他的家人以及所有與他在一起的人說：「你們要除掉你們中間的外邦神像，並要潔淨自己，更換你們的衣服。讓我們起來，上伯特利去，在那裡我要造一座祭壇給神；他就是在我患難的日子回應我，在我所行的路上與我同行的那一位。」於是他們把自己手中所有的外邦神像和自己耳朵上的環子都交給雅各；雅各把它們埋藏在示劍附近的橡樹底下。

求你使我的心傾向你的法度，而不向著私利。

不要讓我的心偏向惡事，以致我與作孽的人一同行惡；也不要讓我吃他們的美食。

使你的耳朵留心聽智慧，使你的心專注聰慧；
