If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.”

Suppose you desert the Lord. Suppose you serve the gods that people in other lands serve. If you do, he will turn against you. He will bring trouble on you. He will destroy you, even though he has been good to you.”

If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you harm and consume you, after having done you good.”

If you abandon the Lord and serve other gods, he will turn against you and destroy you, even though he has been so good to you.”

如果我們領受真理的知識以後仍故意犯罪，就不再有贖罪的祭物，惟有戰戰兢兢等候審判和那將吞滅眾敵人的烈火了。

「我兒所羅門哪，你當認識耶和華－你父的神，全心樂意地事奉他，因為耶和華鑒察眾人的心，知道一切心思意念。你若尋求他，他必使你尋見；你若離棄他，他必永遠丟棄你。

但是神轉臉不顧，任憑他們祭拜天上的日月星辰，正如先知書上所寫的：『以色列家啊，你們四十年間在曠野，何曾將犧牲和祭物獻給我？

他們竟然悖逆，使他的聖靈憂傷。他就轉變，成為他們的仇敵，親自攻擊他們。

耶和華－以色列的盼望啊，凡離棄你的必蒙羞。離我而去的，他們必被寫在地裏，因為他們離棄耶和華，這活水的泉源。

他出來迎接亞撒，對他說：「亞撒，猶大和便雅憫眾人哪，要聽我說：你們若順從耶和華，耶和華必與你們同在；你們若尋求他，就必尋見；你們若離棄他，他必離棄你們。

我以求王撥步兵騎兵幫助我們抵擋路上的仇敵為羞愧，因我們曾對王說：「我們神施恩的手必幫助凡尋求他的，但他的能力和憤怒必攻擊凡離棄他的。」

至於義人，他若轉離義行而作惡，照着惡人所做一切可憎的事去做，豈能存活呢？他所行的一切義都不被記念；反而因所行的惡、所犯的罪死亡。

但悖逆的和犯罪的必一同敗亡，離棄耶和華的必致消滅。

但你們這些離棄耶和華，就是忘記我的聖山、為『幸運之神』擺設筵席、為『命運之神』裝滿調和酒的，我命定你們歸於刀下，你們都要屈身被殺；因為我呼喚，你們不回應；我說話，你們不聽從；反倒做我眼中看為惡的事，選擇我所不喜悅的事。」

你們若斷然轉離，緊緊跟隨你們中間所剩下的這些國家，彼此結親，互相往來，就要確實知道，耶和華－你們的神必不再將他們從你們面前趕出；他們卻要成為你們的羅網、圈套、肋上的鞭、眼中的刺，直到你們在耶和華－你們神所賜的這美地上滅亡。「看哪，我今日要走世人必走的路了。你們要一心一意知道，耶和華－你們神所應許要賜給你們的一切福氣，沒有一件落空，都應驗在你們身上了。耶和華－你們的神所應許的一切福氣怎樣臨到你們身上，耶和華也必照樣使各樣災禍臨到你們身上，直到他把你們從耶和華－你們神所賜給你們的這美地上除滅。

只是我的義人必因信得生；他若退縮，我心就不喜歡他。」
