If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.”

Suppose you desert the Lord. Suppose you serve the gods that people in other lands serve. If you do, he will turn against you. He will bring trouble on you. He will destroy you, even though he has been good to you.”

If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you harm and consume you, after having done you good.”

If you abandon the Lord and serve other gods, he will turn against you and destroy you, even though he has been so good to you.”

我儕既識真理、而故干罪、則無復有贖罪之祭、惟戰慄待鞫、及滅諸敵之烈火耳、

乃出迎亞撒、謂之曰、亞撒及猶大便雅憫眾歟、其聽我言、爾若從耶和華、耶和華則偕爾、爾若求之、則必遇之、爾若棄彼、彼必棄爾、

昔我告王曰、凡尋求我上帝者、必蒙其祐、棄之者必犯其權、干其怒、今求王遣步卒騎兵、助我禦敵於路、我以為恥、

如義人轉離其義而行惡、效惡人行可惡之事、豈得生存乎、其所行之義、不復見憶、必死於其所蹈之愆、所犯之罪、

悖逆與獲罪者同亡、離棄耶和華者被滅、

惟爾曹棄耶和華、忘我聖山、為司數者備筵、為司命者滿注調和之酒、我必命爾亡於鋒刃、使爾屈身受戮、因我有命爾不應、有言爾不從、行我所惡、擇我所不悅也、○

爾若轉而合於爾中遺民、與之嫁娶往來、則當確知爾上帝耶和華、必不復逐斯民於爾目前、彼必於爾為網羅、為機檻、脇下之鞭、目中之刺、迨爾滅亡、於爾上帝耶和華所賜之美地、今我將行舉世必行之路、爾乃一心一意、知爾上帝耶和華所許賜爾之福、無或少遺、無一弗應、爾上帝耶和華所許之福既已臨爾、諸禍亦必臨爾、迨爾上帝耶和華滅絕爾、於其所賜之美地、

惟我義者、必由信而生、若其退縮、我心不悅之、
