If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.”

Suppose you desert the Lord. Suppose you serve the gods that people in other lands serve. If you do, he will turn against you. He will bring trouble on you. He will destroy you, even though he has been good to you.”

因為我們知道了真理以後，若仍然故意犯罪，就再沒有贖罪祭了，只有可怕的審判和燒滅敵對者的烈火等候我們。

「我兒所羅門啊，你要認識你父親的上帝耶和華，誠心樂意地事奉祂，因為祂洞察人心，知道人一切的心思意念。倘若你尋求祂，祂必讓你尋見；倘若你背棄祂，祂必永遠丟棄你。

因此，上帝轉臉不顧他們，任由他們祭拜日月星辰，正如先知書的記載，『以色列家啊，在曠野的四十年間，你們向我獻過祭物和供品嗎？

他們卻叛逆，使祂的聖靈憂傷。於是，祂與他們為敵，親自攻擊他們。

耶和華啊，你是以色列的盼望。背棄你的人必蒙羞，背叛你的人必像寫在塵土上的名字一樣消逝，因為他們背棄了耶和華——活水的源泉。

他便出來迎接亞撒，對他說：「亞撒啊，所有的猶大人和便雅憫人啊，請聽我說！你們若順從耶和華，祂必與你們同在。你們若尋求祂，祂必讓你們尋見。你們若背棄祂，祂必離棄你們。

我羞於求王派步兵和騎兵沿途幫助我們禦敵，因為我們曾經告訴王：「我們的上帝會施恩幫助尋求祂的人，但會向背棄祂的人發烈怒。」

義人若棄善行惡，與惡人同流合污，這人豈能活著？他從前的義行不會被記念，他必因自己的背信和罪惡而滅亡。

但叛逆之輩和犯罪之徒必遭毀滅，背棄耶和華的人必滅亡。

但至於你們這些背棄我、忘記我的聖山、擺宴供奉幸運之神、調酒祭奠命運之神的人，我要使你們註定被殺，喪身刀下。因為我呼喚你們，你們不回應；我講話，你們不聆聽。你們做我視為惡的事，專行令我不悅的事。」

如果你們悖逆，跟你們當中剩下的異族人聯合，通婚往來，毫無疑問，你們的上帝耶和華必不再為你們趕走他們。相反，他們還要成為設在你們當中的圈套和陷阱，你們的肉中刺、眼中釘，直到你們在你們的上帝耶和華所賜給你們的這塊美好的土地上滅亡。「我快要走完人世的路程了。你們深知你們的上帝耶和華賜給你們的一切美好應許沒有一句落空，都已經應驗了。正如你們的上帝耶和華已成就祂應許給你們的一切福氣，如果你們違背祂，祂必照樣降各樣災禍給你們，直到把你們從祂所賜的這美好土地上毀滅。

屬我的義人必靠信心而活。他若畏縮退後，我必不喜悅他。」
