Joshua said to the people,“ You can’t serve Yahweh, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.

約書亞謂民曰、惟恐爾不能事主、因主乃至聖之天主、忌邪之天主、不赦爾愆尤罪惡、

Joshua said to the people,“ You are not able to serve the Lord. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.

Then Joshua warned the people,“ You are not able to serve the Lord, for he is a holy and jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.

But Joshua told the people,“ You will not be able to worship the LORD, because he is a holy God. He is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions and sins.

Then Joshua said to the people,“ You will not be able to serve the Lord, for He is a holy God. He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your wrongdoing or your sins.

But Joshua said to the people,“ You cannot serve the Lord, for He is a holy God. He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve Jehovah; for he is a holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgression nor your sins.

But Joshua told the people,“ You will not be able to worship Yahweh, because He is a holy God. He is a jealous God; He will not remove your transgressions and sins.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he[ is] an holy God; he[ is] a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

Joshua warned the people,“ You will not keep worshiping the LORD, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God who will not forgive your rebellion or your sins.

Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don’t provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.

The men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

“ Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and tell them,‘ You shall be holy; for I, Yahweh your God, am holy.

but Yahweh of Armies is exalted in justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.

you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,

Exalt Yahweh our God. Worship at his footstool. He is Holy!

Exalt Yahweh, our God. Worship at his holy hill, for Yahweh, our God, is holy!

for you shall worship no other god; for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

One called to another, and said,“ Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!”The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.Then I said,“ Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell among a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!”

“ No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.

You shall be holy to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.

You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously, and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,

She said,“ Behold, your sister- in- law has gone back to her people and to her god. Follow your sister- in- law.”

“ Now therefore put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to Yahweh, the God of Israel.”

keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.”

Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be removed with sacrifice or offering forever.”

For thus said the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel,“ You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence.” You refused,

When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.

Get out of the way. Turn away from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.”

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ This is what Yahweh spoke of, saying,‘ I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” Aaron held his peace.

but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until Yahweh’s wrath arose against his people, until there was no remedy.

But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

Now great multitudes were going with him. He turned and said to them,“ If anyone comes to me, and doesn’t disregard his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he can’t be my disciple.Whoever doesn’t bear his own cross, and come after me, can’t be my disciple.For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?Or perhaps, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, everyone who sees begins to mock him,saying,‘ This man began to build, and wasn’t able to finish.’Or what king, as he goes to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an envoy, and asks for conditions of peace.So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.
