Joshua said to the people,“ You are not able to serve the Lord. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.

Then Joshua warned the people,“ You are not able to serve the Lord, for he is a holy and jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.

Joshua warned the people,“ You will not keep worshiping the LORD, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God who will not forgive your rebellion or your sins.

Joshua said to the people,“ You can’t serve Yahweh, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.

他是奉我名来的；你们要在他面前谨慎，听从他的话，不可惹他，因为他必不赦免你们的过犯。

伯示麦人说：“谁能在耶和华这圣洁的神面前侍立呢？这约柜可以从我们这里送到谁那里去呢？”

“你晓谕以色列全会众说：你们要圣洁，因为我耶和华你们的神是圣洁的。

惟有万军之耶和华因公平而崇高；圣者神因公义显为圣。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可侍奉它，因为我耶和华你的神是忌邪的神。恨我的，我必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三四代；

你们当尊崇耶和华我们的神，在他脚凳前下拜。他本为圣！

你们要尊崇耶和华我们的神，在他的圣山下拜，因为耶和华我们的神本为圣！

不可敬拜别神；因为耶和华是忌邪的神，名为忌邪者。

彼此呼喊说：“圣哉！圣哉！圣哉！万军之耶和华；他的荣光充满全地！”因呼喊者的声音，门槛的根基震动，殿充满了烟云。那时我说：“祸哉！我灭亡了！因为我是嘴唇不洁的人，又住在嘴唇不洁的民中，又因我眼见大君王万军之耶和华。”

“一个人不能侍奉两个主；不是恶这个、爱那个，就是重这个、轻那个。你们不能又侍奉神，又侍奉玛门。”

你们要归我为圣，因为我耶和华是圣的，并叫你们与万民有分别，使你们作我的民。

你眼目清洁，不看邪僻，不看奸恶；行诡诈的，你为何看着不理呢？恶人吞灭比自己公义的，你为何静默不语呢？

拿俄米说：“看哪，你嫂子已经回她本国和她所拜的神那里去了，你也跟着你嫂子回去吧！”

约书亚说：“你们现在要除掉你们中间的外邦神，专心归向耶和华以色列的神。”

为千万人存留慈爱，赦免罪孽、过犯，和罪恶，万不以有罪的为无罪，必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代。”

所以我向以利家起誓说：‘以利家的罪孽，虽献祭奉礼物，永不能得赎去。’”

主耶和华以色列的圣者曾如此说：“你们得救在乎归回安息；你们得力在乎平静安稳”；你们竟自不肯。

枝条枯干，必被折断；妇女要来点火烧着。因为这百姓蒙昧无知，所以，创造他们的必不怜恤他们；造成他们的也不施恩与他们。

你们要离弃正道，偏离直路，不要在我们面前再提说以色列的圣者。”

于是摩西对亚伦说：“这就是耶和华所说：‘我在亲近我的人中要显为圣；在众民面前，我要得荣耀。’”亚伦就默默不言。

他们却嘻笑神的使者，藐视他的言语，讥诮他的先知，以致耶和华的忿怒向他的百姓发作，无法可救。

我乃是说，外邦人所献的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神。我不愿意你们与鬼相交。你们不能喝主的杯又喝鬼的杯，不能吃主的筵席又吃鬼的筵席。我们可惹主的愤恨吗？我们比他还有能力吗？

有极多的人和耶稣同行。他转过来对他们说：“人到我这里来，若不爱我胜过爱自己的父母、妻子、儿女、弟兄、姐妹，和自己的性命，就不能作我的门徒。凡不背着自己十字架跟从我的，也不能作我的门徒。你们哪一个要盖一座楼，不先坐下算计花费，能盖成不能呢？恐怕安了地基，不能成功，看见的人都笑话他，说：‘这个人开了工，却不能完工。’或是一个王出去和别的王打仗，岂不先坐下酌量，能用一万兵去敌那领二万兵来攻打他的吗？若是不能，就趁敌人还远的时候，派使者去求和息的条款。这样，你们无论什么人，若不撇下一切所有的，就不能作我的门徒。”
