我賜給你們的土地，不是你們勞苦開墾的；我賜給你們的城市，不是你們建造的，你們卻住在城中；你們享用的葡萄園和橄欖園，也不是你們栽種的。’

我赐给你们地土，非你们所修治的；我赐给你们城邑，非你们所建造的。你们就住在其中，又得吃非你们所栽种的葡萄园、橄榄园的果子。’

So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.’

So I gave you a land you had never farmed. I gave you cities you had not built. You are now living in them. And you are eating the fruit of vineyards and olive trees you did not plant.’

“耶和華你的神領你進入他向你列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許給你的地；那裡有不是你建造的，又高大又美麗的城市，有裝滿各樣美物的房子，不是你裝滿的；有鑿成的水池，不是你鑿成的；還有葡萄園和橄欖園，不是你栽種的；你可以吃，並且吃得飽足。那時，你要謹慎，免得你忘記了耶和華，就是把你從埃及地，從為奴之家領出來的那一位。

因為耶和華你的神快要領你進入那美地；那地有河流，有泉，有源，水從谷中和山上流出來；

耶和華向以色列家應許賜福的話，沒有一句落空，都應驗了。

善人給子孫留下產業，罪人的財富，卻是為義人積藏。

至於那些立在土丘上的城，除了夏瑣以外，以色列人都沒有焚燒；約書亞只燒了夏瑣。
