“ The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you.

“ The Lord has driven out great and powerful nations to make room for you. To this day no one has been able to fight against you and win.

For the Lord has driven out before you great and strong nations. And as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day.

耶和華就必從你們面前把這些國民都趕出去，你們就必佔領比你們大比你們強的國民的地。

你一生的日子必沒有一人能在你面前立得住；我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在；我決不離開你，也不離棄你。

我要漸漸地把他們從你面前驅逐出去，等到你的人數增多起來，承受那地為止。

耶和華你們的神必把他們從你們面前趕出去，驅逐他們離開你們，你們就必得著他們的地作產業，正如耶和華你們的神所應許的。

他也必把他們的君王交在你的手中，你必使他們的名從天下消滅；必沒有一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他們都消滅了。

迦勒把亞衲人的三個子孫，就是示篩、亞希幔、撻買，從那裡趕出去；他們是亞衲人的後代。

這樣，耶和華就把他從前起誓要賜給他們列祖的全地給了以色列人；以色列人佔領了那地，就定居下來。耶和華照著他向他們列祖起誓所說的一切話，使他們四境平靜；他們所有的仇敵，沒有一人能在他們面前站立得住；耶和華把他們所有的仇敵都交在他們手裡。

這律法書不可離開你的口，要晝夜默誦，好使你謹守遵行書中所記的一切；這樣，你的道路就必順利，你必一路亨通。我不是吩咐過你要堅強勇敢嗎？所以，你不要懼怕，也不要驚慌；因為你無論到哪裡去，耶和華你的神必與你同在。”
