“ The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you.

“ The Lord has driven out great and powerful nations to make room for you. To this day no one has been able to fight against you and win.

For the Lord has driven out before you great and strong nations. And as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day.

“ For the Lord has driven out great and powerful nations for you, and no one has yet been able to defeat you.

“ The LORD has driven out great and powerful nations before you, and no one is able to stand against you to this day.

For the Lord has driven out great and mighty nations from before you; and as for you, no one has stood against you to this day.

For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations; but as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day.

For Jehovah hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath stood before you unto this day.

耶和華就會為你們趕走那些比你們強大的民族，你們也必佔領他們的土地。

在你有生之年，沒有人能夠抵擋你。過去我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在，我必不離開你，也不丟棄你。

我會逐漸地趕走他們，直到你們人丁興旺，可以佔據那片土地。

你們的上帝耶和華必把列邦從你們面前趕出去，使他們離開你們。這樣，你們就可以承受他們的土地，正如你們的上帝耶和華的應許。

祂要將他們的王交在你們手中，無人能抵擋你們，你們要毀滅他們，使他們的名字從世上絕跡。

迦勒趕走了住在那裡的亞衲族的三個族長，即示篩、亞希幔和撻買，

這樣，耶和華把從前起誓賜給以色列人祖先的整個地區都賜給了以色列人，以色列人都分到土地，住了下來。耶和華照著給他們祖先的應許，使他們四境安寧，沒有仇敵能抵擋他們。耶和華將所有仇敵都交在了他們手中。

你要常常誦讀這律法書，晝夜不斷地思想，以便謹遵律法書上的一切指示。這樣，你必亨通、順利。我再次吩咐你，要剛強勇敢！不要害怕，也不要灰心，因為你無論走到哪裡，你的上帝耶和華必與你同在。」
