But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Be very careful to obey the law that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you. He commanded you to love the Lord your God. He told you to live exactly as the Lord wants you to. Jesus replied:“‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you.

Jesus said to him,“ Away from me, Satan! For it is written:‘ Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

“ Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today— to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul—

If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow— to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him—

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.

But you are to hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have until now.

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.

Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.

“ No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

“ If you love me, keep my commands.

See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

“ Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied.“ You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart.

But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me

So Samuel said to all the Israelites,“ If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

He said,“ If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”

It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.

to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say,“ Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

but all of you who held fast to the Lord your God are still alive today.

We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said,“ you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Feed my lambs.”Again Jesus said,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered,“ Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Take care of my sheep.”The third time he said to him,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,“ Do you love me?” He said,“ Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Feed my sheep.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name.

Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”Then Judas( not Judas Iscariot) said,“ But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus replied,“ Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?

Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right.
