So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today— to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— (niv)

If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow— to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him— (niv)

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. (niv)

Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always. (niv)

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you. But you are to hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have until now. (niv)

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. (niv)

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. (niv)

When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. (niv)

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? (niv)

You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. (niv)

Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. (niv)

He said,“ If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” (niv)

Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say,“ Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” (niv)

but all of you who held fast to the Lord your God are still alive today. (niv)

We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. (niv)

God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you (niv)

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. (niv)

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (niv)

Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name. (niv)

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good? (niv)
