They were glad to hear the report and praised God. And they talked no more about going to war against them to devastate the country where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived.

The people were glad to hear the report. They praised God. They didn’t talk anymore about going to war against the eastern tribes. And they didn’t talk anymore about destroying the country where the tribes of Reuben and Gad lived.

And the report was good in the eyes of the people of Israel. And the people of Israel blessed God and spoke no more of making war against them to destroy the land where the people of Reuben and the people of Gad were settled.

That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven.

Then David said to the whole assembly,“ Give praise to the Lord your God!” And the entire assembly praised the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and they bowed low and knelt before the Lord and the king.

Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,

When Phinehas the priest and the leaders of the community— the heads of the clans of Israel— heard this from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh, they were satisfied.

Everyone listened quietly as Barnabas and Paul told about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.

David replied to Abigail,“ Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you to meet me today!Thank God for your good sense! Bless you for keeping me from murder and from carrying out vengeance with my own hands.

But now Timothy has just returned, bringing us good news about your faith and love. He reports that you always remember our visit with joy and that you want to see us as much as we want to see you.So we have been greatly encouraged in the midst of our troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith.It gives us new life to know that you are standing firm in the Lord.

His presence was a joy, but so was the news he brought of the encouragement he received from you. When he told us how much you long to see me, and how sorry you are for what happened, and how loyal you are to me, I was filled with joy!

And there was great joy throughout the church that day as they read this encouraging message.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

Ezra stood on the platform in full view of all the people. When they saw him open the book, they all rose to their feet.Then Ezra praised the Lord, the great God, and all the people chanted,“ Amen! Amen!” as they lifted their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
