The people were glad to hear the report. They praised God. They didn’t talk anymore about going to war against the eastern tribes. And they didn’t talk anymore about destroying the country where the tribes of Reuben and Gad lived.

And the report was good in the eyes of the people of Israel. And the people of Israel blessed God and spoke no more of making war against them to destroy the land where the people of Reuben and the people of Gad were settled.

And all the Israelites were satisfied and praised God and spoke no more of war against Reuben and Gad.

The Israelites were pleased with the report, and they blessed God. They spoke no more about going to war against them to ravage the land where the Reubenites and Gadites lived.

The word pleased the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel blessed God; and they did not speak of going up against them in battle to destroy the land in which the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad were living.

During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven

Then David said to the whole assembly,“ Praise the Lord your God.” So they all praised the Lord, the God of their fathers; they bowed down, prostrating themselves before the Lord and the king.

Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

When Phinehas the priest and the leaders of the community— the heads of the clans of the Israelites— heard what Reuben, Gad and Manasseh had to say, they were pleased.

The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.

David said to Abigail,“ Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you today to meet me.May you be blessed for your good judgment and for keeping me from bloodshed this day and from avenging myself with my own hands.

But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you.Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.

and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.

The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up.Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded,“ Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
