諸上帝之上帝耶和華、諸上帝之上帝耶和華知之、以色列族亦將知之、如我違逆干犯耶和華、願無祐我。

曰、諸神之主耶和華、諸神之主耶和華或作至能之天主耶和華至能之天主耶和華知之、以色列人亦當知之、如我儕有叛逆干犯主之意、願主今日不祐我儕、

They said,“ The Mighty One, God, the Lord! The Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows! And we want Israel to know! Have we opposed the Lord? Have we refused to obey him? If we have, don’t spare us today.

“ The Mighty One, God, the Lord! The Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows; and let Israel itself know! If it was in rebellion or in breach of faith against the Lord, do not spare us today

“ The Lord, the Mighty One, is God! The Lord, the Mighty One, is God! He knows the truth, and may Israel know it, too! We have not built the altar in treacherous rebellion against the Lord. If we have done so, do not spare our lives this day.

“ The Mighty One, God, the LORD! The Mighty One, God, the LORD! He knows, and may Israel also know. Do not spare us today, if it was in rebellion or treachery against the LORD

“ The Mighty One, God, the Lord, the Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows, and may Israel itself know. If it was in rebellion, or if in an unfaithful act against the Lord, do not save us this day!

“ The Lord God of gods, the Lord God of gods, He knows, and let Israel itself know— if it is in rebellion, or if in treachery against the Lord, do not save us this day.

The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, the Mighty One, God, Jehovah, he knoweth; and Israel he shall know: if it be in rebellion, or if in trespass against Jehovah( save thou us not this day),

“ Yahweh is the God of gods! Yahweh is the God of gods! He knows, and may Israel also know. Do not spare us today, if it was in rebellion or treachery against the Lord

The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if[ it be] in rebellion, or if in transgression against the LORD,( save us not this day,)

“ El, God, the LORD! El, God, the LORD! He knows the truth! Israel must also know! If we have rebelled or disobeyed the LORD, don’t spare us today!

“ The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, the Mighty One, God, Yahweh, he knows; and Israel shall know: if it was in rebellion, or if in trespass against Yahweh( don’t save us today),

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive and act; deal with everyone according to all they do, since you know their hearts( for you alone know every human heart),

would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart?

though you know that I am not guilty and that no one can rescue me from your hand?

“ I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

“ if my land cries out against me and all its furrows are wet with tears,if I have devoured its yield without payment or broken the spirit of its tenants,then let briers come up instead of wheat and stinkweed instead of barley.” The words of Job are ended.

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying.

God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the“ gods”:

He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols— worship him, all you gods!

If, however, I am guilty of doing anything deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if the charges brought against me by these Jews are not true, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!”

Then they prayed,“ Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all other gods, for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly.”

And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

“ The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place.

The king said to Daniel,“ Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery.”

Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.

On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.

Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever.

Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord’s wrath, until he pleads my case and upholds my cause. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness.

“ If I have walked with falsehood or my foot has hurried after deceit—let God weigh me in honest scales and he will know that I am blameless—if my steps have turned from the path, if my heart has been led by my eyes, or if my hands have been defiled,then may others eat what I have sown, and may my crops be uprooted.

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.If I say,“ Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

Lord my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands—if I have repaid my ally with evil or without cause have robbed my foe—then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust.

So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized himand said,“ You went into the house of uncircumcised men and ate with them.”Starting from the beginning, Peter told them the whole story:“ I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision. I saw something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to where I was.I looked into it and saw four- footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles and birds.Then I heard a voice telling me,‘ Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.’“ I replied,‘ Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’“ The voice spoke from heaven a second time,‘ Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’This happened three times, and then it was all pulled up to heaven again.“ Right then three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s house.He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say,‘ Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’“ As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.Then I remembered what the Lord had said:‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying,“ So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.

Yet you know me, Lord; you see me and test my thoughts about you. Drag them off like sheep to be butchered! Set them apart for the day of slaughter!

For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.”

But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people.He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

The third time he said to him,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,“ Do you love me?” He said,“ Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Feed my sheep.

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
