When they went to Gilead— to Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh— they said to them:

Those leaders went to the tribes of Reuben and Gad and half of the tribe of Manasseh. Those tribes were in the land of Gilead. The leaders said to them,

It[ is] a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against the LORD.

But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy,[ and] he fought against them.

And Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

O LORD God of Israel, thou[ art] righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as[ it is] this day: behold, we[ are] before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.

For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These[ be] thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and[ that] there be no divisions among you; but[ that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

For rebellion[ is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness[ is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from[ being] king.

And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD[ already], ye intend to add[ more] to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and[ there is] fierce wrath against Israel.

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell[ it] unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of[ those] lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.

And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they[ be]: but, my lord the king,[ are] they not all my lord’s servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?

And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him,[ It appertaineth] not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither[ shall it be] for thine honour from the LORD God.

If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

But that ye must turn away this day from following the LORD? and it will be,[ seeing] ye rebel to day against the LORD, that tomorrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation of Israel.

Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there,[ even] unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:

For the Amalekites and the Canaanites[ are] there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.

And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation[ that] set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man[ there be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the LORD; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

And when the children of Israel heard[ of it], the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them.

Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more[ shall not] we[ escape], if we turn away from him that[ speaketh] from heaven:

Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;
