亦命戚族積石、眾乃取石、積累為堆、共食其側、拉班名之曰伊迦爾撒哈杜他、雅各名之曰迦累得、拉班曰、此堆今日為證於爾我間、故名曰迦累得、又名米斯巴、蓋曰、爾我相暌隔時、願耶和華鑒察其間、爾若負吾女、別有所娶、雖無人同在、而上帝證之、拉班又謂雅各曰、可觀此堆、爾我間所立之柱、此堆此柱、乃為其證、我不越此堆害爾、爾亦不越此堆與柱害我、

謂之曰、入約但河、至爾上帝耶和華之匱前、按以色列支派之數、各取一石、荷之以肩、以為證於爾中、異日爾子孫問爾曰、此石何意、則曰、昔耶和華之約匱濟約但、水絕流於其前、此石永為以色列人之誌、以色列人按其支派之數、自約但中取石十二、攜至宿處而置之、遵耶和華諭約書亞之命、約書亞又立石十二於約但河中、在舁約匱祭司立足之所、至今猶存、
