以色列族、由其業中、以邑郊賜利未人、循耶和華命、

掣籤在人、定事在耶和華。

乃就摩西、及祭司以利亞撒、暨諸會長前、曰、

其餘之地、必繪其形、分為七區、以復於我、我為爾掣籤、在爾上帝耶和華前。

其人民則處於邑中、其牛羊六畜與凡所有則歸於郊、

掣籤以息事、強者以之止鬥。

汝必掣籤分地、按爾戶口、人眾則給地亦多、人寡則給地亦減、各隨所掣之籤、循其世系、得此恆業。
