The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies into their hands.

这样，约书亚照着耶和华所吩咐摩西的一切话夺了那全地，就按着以色列支派所得的份把地分给他们为业。于是国中太平，没有战争了。

耶和华—你的上帝必在你面前过河，把这些国从你面前除灭，你就必得他们的地。约书亚要在你面前过河，是照耶和华所吩咐的。耶和华必对待他们，如同从前待他所除灭的亚摩利人的王西宏与噩，以及他们的国一样。耶和华必将他们交在你们面前，你们要照我所吩咐的一切命令待他们。

这样看来，另有一安息日的安息为上帝的子民保留着。

耶和华—你的上帝必将这些国从你面前渐渐赶出；你不可迅速把他们消灭，免得野地的走兽多起来危害你。耶和华—你的上帝必将他们交给你，大大扰乱他们，直到他们被除灭。他又要将他们的君王交在你手中，你必从天下除去他们的名；必无一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他们除灭了。

我要定你的疆界，从红海直到非利士海，从旷野直到大河。我要把那地的居民交在你手中，你要把他们从你面前赶出去。

等到耶和华使你们的弟兄和你们一样得享平静，并且得着耶和华—你们上帝所赐他们为业之地的时候，你们才可以回到你们所得之地，承受为业，就是耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东、向日出的方向所给你们的地。”

如今耶和华—你们的上帝已经照着他所应许的，使你们的弟兄得享安宁。你们现在可以返回自己的帐棚，回到耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东所赐给你们为业之地。

“你们要记得耶和华的仆人摩西所吩咐你们的话说：‘耶和华—你们的上帝使你们得享安宁，必将这地赐给你们。’

于是吕便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派的人从迦南地的示罗起行，离开以色列人，回到他们已得为业的基列地，就是他们照耶和华藉摩西所吩咐而得的。
