The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies into their hands.

这样，约书亚照着耶和华吩咐摩西的一切话，夺取了那全地；于是，约书亚按着以色列的支派把地分给他们作产业。全地也就止息了战争。

耶和华你的神要亲自领你们过去，从你们面前消灭这些国的民，使你们得着他们的地，照着耶和华说过的，约书亚要亲自领你们过去。耶和华对待他们，必好像从前对待他消灭的亚摩利人的两个王西宏和噩，以及他们的国一样。耶和华必把他们交给你们，你们照着我吩咐你们的一切命令对待他们。

这样看来，为了神的子民，必定另外有一个“安息日”的安息保留下来。

耶和华你的神必把这些国的民，从你面前渐渐赶出去；你不可以把他们迅速地灭尽，恐怕田间的野兽多起来害你。耶和华你的神必把他们交在你面前，使他们大起扰乱，直到他们全被消灭。他也必把他们的君王交在你的手中，你必使他们的名从天下消灭；必没有一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他们都消灭了。

我要限定你的境界，从红海直到非利士海，从旷野直到大河。我要把那地的居民交在你手中，你要把他们从你面前驱逐出去。

等到耶和华使你们的兄弟可以和你们一样安居，同样得着耶和华你们的神要赐给他们作产业的地，你们才可以回到你们所得的地，以它作你们的产业，就是耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东边日出之地赐给你们的地方。”

现在耶和华你们的神，照着他应许的，已经使你们兄弟得享平安；现在你们可以返回自己家里，回到耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东赐给你们作产业的地方去。

“你们要记住耶和华的仆人摩西吩咐你们的话：‘耶和华你们的神赐你们安息，他必把这地赐给你们。’

于是流本人、迦得人和玛拿西半个支派的人，从迦南地的示罗起程，离开以色列人，回到他们所得的产业基列地去，就是照着耶和华藉着摩西所吩咐，赐给他们的产业。
