And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.

They went to all of them at Shiloh in Canaan. They said to them,“ Give us towns to live in. Also give us grasslands for our livestock. That’s what the Lord commanded through Moses.”

And they said to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan,“ The Lord commanded through Moses that we be given cities to dwell in, along with their pasturelands for our livestock.”

Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give[ also] unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites,[ shall reach] from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.And ye shall measure from without the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and the city[ shall be] in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites[ there shall be] six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.[ So] all the cities which ye shall give to the Levites[ shall be] forty and eight cities: them[ shall ye give] with their suburbs.And the cities which ye shall give[ shall be] of the possession of the children of Israel: from[ them that have] many ye shall give many; but from[ them that have] few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.

Nor scrip for[ your] journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer[ is] worthy of his reward.

The oblation that ye shall offer unto the LORD[ shall be] of five and twenty thousand in length, and of ten thousand in breadth.And for them,[ even] for the priests, shall be[ this] holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand[ in length], and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof.[ It shall be] for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.And[ this] oblation of the land that is offered shall be unto them a thing most holy by the border of the Levites.And over against the border of the priests the Levites[ shall have] five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length[ shall be] five and twenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the firstfruits of the land: for[ it is] holy unto the LORD.And the five thousand, that are left in the breadth over against the five and twenty thousand, shall be a profane[ place] for the city, for dwelling, and for suburbs: and the city shall be in the midst thereof.And these[ shall be] the measures thereof; the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.And the suburbs of the city shall be toward the north two hundred and fifty, and toward the south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two hundred and fifty.And the residue in length over against the oblation of the holy[ portion shall be] ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the oblation of the holy[ portion]; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that serve the city.
