at Shiloh in Canaan and said to them,“ The Lord commanded through Moses that you give us towns to live in, with pasturelands for our livestock.”

They went to all of them at Shiloh in Canaan. They said to them,“ Give us towns to live in. Also give us grasslands for our livestock. That’s what the Lord commanded through Moses.”

And they said to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan,“ The Lord commanded through Moses that we be given cities to dwell in, along with their pasturelands for our livestock.”

以色列的全会众都聚集在示罗，把会幕设立在那里，那地已经被他们制伏了。

“你吩咐以色列人，要从所得为业的地中把些城给利未人居住，也要把这城四围的郊野给利未人。这城邑要归他们居住，城邑的郊野可以牧养他们的牛羊和各样的牲畜，又可以安置他们的财物。你们给利未人的郊野，要从城根起，四围往外量一千肘。另外东量二千肘，南量二千肘，西量二千肘，北量二千肘，为边界，城在当中；这要归他们作城邑的郊野。你们给利未人的城邑，其中当有六座逃城，使误杀人的可以逃到那里。此外还要给他们四十二座城。你们要给利未人的城，共有四十八座，连城带郊野都要给他们。以色列人所得的地业从中要把些城邑给利未人；人多的就多给，人少的就少给；各支派要按所承受为业之地把城邑给利未人。”

行路不要带口袋；不要带两件褂子，也不要带鞋和拐杖。因为工人得饮食是应当的。

在道理上受教的，当把一切需用的供给施教的人。

那善于管理教会的长老，当以为配受加倍的敬奉；那劳苦传道教导人的，更当如此。因为经上说：“牛在场上踹谷的时候，不可笼住它的嘴”；又说：“工人得工价是应当的。”

你们献与耶和华的供地要长二万五千肘，宽一万肘。这圣供地要归与祭司，北长二万五千肘，西宽一万肘，东宽一万肘，南长二万五千肘。耶和华的圣地当在其中。这地要归与撒督的子孙中成为圣的祭司，就是那守我所吩咐的。当以色列人走迷的时候，他们不像那些利未人走迷了。这要归与他们为供地，是全地中至圣的。供地挨着利未人的地界。利未人所得的地要长二万五千肘，宽一万肘，与祭司的地界相等，都长二万五千肘，宽一万肘。这地不可卖，不可换，初熟之物也不可归与别人，因为是归耶和华为圣的。这二万五千肘前面所剩下五千肘宽之地要作俗用，作为造城盖房郊野之地。城要在当中。城的尺寸乃是如此：北面四千五百肘，南面四千五百肘，东面四千五百肘，西面四千五百肘。城必有郊野，向北二百五十肘，向南二百五十肘，向东二百五十肘，向西二百五十肘。靠着圣供地的余地，东长一万肘，西长一万肘，要与圣供地相等；其中的土产要作城内工人的食物。
