Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.

Now the family heads of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the other tribal families of Israel

The leaders of the Levite family groups approached Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun. They also approached the leaders of the family groups of Israel’s other tribes.

Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites came to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua the son of Nun and to the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the people of Israel.

Then the leaders of the tribe of Levi came to consult with Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the other tribes of Israel.

The Levite family heads approached the priest Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun, and the family heads of the Israelite tribes.

Then the heads of fathers’ households of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of fathers’ households of the tribes of the sons of Israel.

Then came near the heads of fathers’ houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;

The heads of the Levite families approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the families of the Israelite tribes.

Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;

The tribal leaders of the Levites went before Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun and the Israelite tribal leaders

Then the heads of fathers’ houses of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.

These are the areas which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel distributed as an inheritance to them.

And they came near before Eleazar the priest, before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the rulers, saying,“ The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brothers.” Therefore, according to the commandment of the Lord, he gave them an inheritance among their father’s brothers.

These were the inheritances which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel divided as an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. So they made an end of dividing the country.

These are the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. These are the families of Reuben.

Eleazar, Aaron’s son, took for himself one of the daughters of Putiel as wife; and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families.

“ These are the names of the men who shall divide the land among you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.And you shall take one leader of every tribe to divide the land for the inheritance.These are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;from the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud;from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;a leader from the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli;from the sons of Joseph: a leader from the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod,and a leader from the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;a leader from the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;a leader from the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan;a leader from the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;and a leader from the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”These are the ones the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance among the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
