Now the family heads of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the other tribal families of Israel

The leaders of the Levite family groups approached Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun. They also approached the leaders of the family groups of Israel’s other tribes.

Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites came to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua the son of Nun and to the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the people of Israel.

Then the leaders of the tribe of Levi came to consult with Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the other tribes of Israel.

Then the heads of fathers’ households of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of fathers’ households of the tribes of the sons of Israel.

Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.

Then came near the heads of fathers’ houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;

The heads of the Levite families approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the families of the Israelite tribes.

Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;

The tribal leaders of the Levites went before Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun and the Israelite tribal leaders

Then the heads of fathers’ houses of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.

The Israelites received these portions that the priest Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun, and the family heads of the Israelite tribes gave them in the land of Canaan.

They came before the priest Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders, saying,“ The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our male relatives.” So they gave them an inheritance among their father’s brothers, in keeping with the LORD’s instruction.

These were the portions that the priest Eleazar, Joshua son of Nun, and the family heads distributed to the Israelite tribes by lot at Shiloh in the LORD’s presence at the entrance to the tent of meeting. So they finished dividing up the land.

These are the heads of their fathers’ families: The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi. These are the clans of Reuben.

Aaron’s son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the Levite families by their clans.

“ These are the names of the men who are to distribute the land as an inheritance for you: the priest Eleazar and Joshua son of Nun.Take one leader from each tribe to distribute the land.These are the names of the men: Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah;Shemuel son of Ammihud from the tribe of Simeon’s descendants;Elidad son of Chislon from the tribe of Benjamin;Bukki son of Jogli, a leader from the tribe of Dan’s descendants;from the sons of Joseph: Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh’s descendants,Kemuel son of Shiphtan, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim’s descendants;Eli-zaphan son of Parnach, a leader from the tribe of Zebulun’s descendants;Paltiel son of Azzan, a leader from the tribe of Issachar’s descendants;Ahihud son of Shelomi, a leader from the tribe of Asher’s descendants;Pedahel son of Ammihud, a leader from the tribe of Naphtali’s descendants.”These are the ones the LORD commanded to distribute the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.
