那两个人对罗得说：“你这里还有什么人吗？无论是女婿，是儿女，这城中所有属你的人，你都要把他们从这地方带出去。我们要毁灭这地方，因为控告城内百姓的声音在耶和华面前非常大，耶和华派我们来毁灭这城。”罗得出去，告诉娶了他女儿的女婿们说：“起来，离开这地方，因为耶和华要毁灭这城。”他的女婿们却以为他说的是笑话。天亮了，天使催逼罗得说：“起来！带着你的妻子和你这里的两个女儿出去，免得你因这城的罪孽同被剿灭。”但罗得迟延不走。二人因为耶和华怜悯罗得，就拉着他的手和他妻子的手，以及他两个女儿的手，把他们领出来，安置在城外；领他们出来以后，就说：“逃命吧！不可回头看，也不可在平原站住。要往山上逃跑，免得你被剿灭。”

耶和华对挪亚说：“你和你的全家都要进入方舟，因为在这世代中，我看你在我面前是个义人。

女人说：“就照你们的话吧！”于是她送他们走了，就把朱红绳子系在窗户上。

现在我既然恩待你们，求你们指着耶和华向我起誓，你们也要恩待我的父家。请你们给我一个确实的凭据，要救活我的父母、兄弟、姊妹，和所有属他们的，拯救我们的性命脱离死亡。”

彼得和他一边说话一边进去，见有好些人聚集，

因为摩西当日照着律法将各样诫命传给众百姓，就拿朱红色绒和牛膝草，把牛犊、山羊的血和水洒在书上，又洒在众百姓身上，

他们要在这些东西的上面铺上朱红色的布，把精美皮料盖在上面，再把杠穿上。

耶稣对他说：“今天救恩到了这家，因为他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。

愿主怜悯阿尼色弗一家的人，因为他屡次令我欣慰。他不以我的铁链为耻，

他有话要告诉你，因这些话你和你的全家都可以得救。’

我何忍见我本族的人受害？何忍见我同宗的人被灭呢？”

所以我立刻派人去请你。你来了真好。现在我们都在神面前，要听主吩咐你的一切话。”

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草和朱红色纱都丢在焚烧牛的火中。

我必使你成为大国，我必赐福给你，使你的名为大；你要使别人得福。

祭司就要吩咐人为那求洁净的人带两只洁净的活鸟和香柏木、朱红色纱，以及牛膝草来。
