二人对罗得说：“你这里还有什么人吗？无论是女婿是儿女，和这城中一切属你的人，你都要将他们从这地方带出去。我们要毁灭这地方；因为城内罪恶的声音在耶和华面前甚大，耶和华差我们来，要毁灭这地方。”罗得就出去，告诉娶了他女儿的女婿们说：“你们起来离开这地方，因为耶和华要毁灭这城。”他女婿们却以为他说的是戏言。天明了，天使催逼罗得说：“起来！带着你的妻子和你在这里的两个女儿出去，免得你因这城里的罪恶同被剿灭。”但罗得迟延不走。二人因为耶和华怜恤罗得，就拉着他的手和他妻子的手，并他两个女儿的手，把他们领出来，安置在城外；领他们出来以后，就说：“逃命吧！不可回头看，也不可在平原站住。要往山上逃跑，免得你被剿灭。”

耶和华对挪亚说：“你和你的全家都要进入方舟；因为在这世代中，我见你在我面前是义人。

女人说：“照你们的话行吧！”于是打发他们去了，又把朱红线绳系在窗户上。

现在我既是恩待你们，求你们指着耶和华向我起誓，也要恩待我父家，并给我一个实在的证据，要救活我的父母、弟兄、姐妹，和一切属他们的，拯救我们的性命不死。”

彼得和他说着话进去，见有好些人在那里聚集，

因为摩西当日照着律法将各样诫命传给众百姓，就拿朱红色绒和牛膝草，把牛犊山羊的血和水洒在书上，又洒在众百姓身上，说：

在其上又要蒙朱红色的毯子，再蒙上海狗皮，把杠穿上。

耶稣说：“今天救恩到了这家，因为他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。

愿主怜悯阿尼色弗一家的人；因他屡次使我畅快，不以我的锁链为耻，

他有话告诉你，可以叫你和你的全家得救。’

我何忍见我本族的人受害？何忍见我同宗的人被灭呢？”

所以我立时打发人去请你。你来了很好；现今我们都在神面前，要听主所吩咐你的一切话。”

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草、朱红色线都丢在烧牛的火中。

我必叫你成为大国。我必赐福给你，叫你的名为大；你也要叫别人得福。

就要吩咐人为那求洁净的拿两只洁净的活鸟和香柏木、朱红色线，并牛膝草来。
