天使對羅得說：「你還有什麼親人住在這裡？你要帶兒女、女婿和城裡其他親人離開這裡，因為我們就要毀滅這城了。耶和華已經聽見控訴這罪惡之城的聲音，祂差遣我們來毀滅這城。」羅得聽了就去通知他女兒的未婚夫說：「快走吧！耶和華要毀滅這城了！」可是他們卻以為他是在開玩笑。天剛亮的時候，天使便催促羅得說：「起來，帶著你的妻子和兩個女兒離開，免得所多瑪城因罪惡受懲罰的時候，你也一起被毀滅。」羅得卻猶疑不決，天使便拉著羅得及其妻子和兩個女兒的手出去，將他們安置在城外，因為耶和華憐憫他們。到了城外，其中一位天使說：「趕快逃！不要回頭看，也不要留在平原，要往山上逃，免得你們被毀滅。」

耶和華對挪亞說：「你和你一家都進入方舟，因為這個世代只有你在我眼中是義人。

喇合答道：「一言為定！」於是她送走他們，把朱紅色的繩子繫在窗戶上。

我既然恩待了你們，現在請你們憑耶和華向我起誓，你們也照樣恩待我家，並且給我一個可靠的憑據，保證讓我的父母、兄弟、姐妹和他們所有的親人免於一死。」

彼得和他邊走邊談，進屋後，見聚集了許多人，

摩西依照律法向猶太人頒佈所有誡命之後，便用紅色的羊毛和牛膝草蘸了牛犢和山羊的血以及水，灑在律法書和百姓身上，

這些東西上面要蓋朱紅色的布，再蓋上海狗皮，然後穿上抬桌子的橫杠。

耶穌說：「今天救恩臨到這家了，因為他也是亞伯拉罕的子孫。

願主憐憫阿尼色弗一家人，他常常鼓勵我，不以我被囚禁為恥。

他有話告訴你，能使你和你的全家得救。』

我怎能忍心看我本族的人受害？我怎能忍心看我的親族被殺？」

於是我立刻派人去請你。你能來，真是榮幸，現在我們都在上帝面前，想聆聽主吩咐你傳給我們的話。」

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草、朱紅色線扔進燒牛的火裡。

我必使你成為大國，我必賜福給你，使你聲名遠播。你必成為別人的祝福。

要吩咐人為他拿來兩隻潔淨的鳥、香柏木、朱紅色線和牛膝草。
