So the men said to her:“ We will be blameless of this oath of yours which you have made us swear,

二人對她說：「要讓我們信守誓言，你必須這樣做，

他們二人對她說：“如果你不遵照我們的話行，你叫我們起的誓就與我們無關了。

二人就對她說：『以下這幾件事你總要行，不然、你叫我們起的誓就與我們無干了。

二人曰、爾使我所發之誓、我必守之而無咎、

二人曰、爾既用絳索以縋我、必以此索、仍繫於牖、集爾父母兄弟戚屬、至於斯室、厥後我儕至斯土、則爾使我所發之誓、我必恪守。

二人對曰、爾使我所發之誓、我必守之而不失信、

Now the men had said to her,“ This oath you made us swear will not be binding on us

The spies had said to her,“ You made us give our word. But we won’t keep our promise

The men said to her,“ We will be guiltless with respect to this oath of yours that you have made us swear.

Before they left, the men told her,“ We will be bound by the oath we have taken only if you follow these instructions.

The men said to her,“ We will be free from this oath you made us swear,

And the men said to her,“ We shall be exempt from this oath to you which you have made us swear,

And the men said unto her, We will be guiltless of this thine oath which thou hast made us to swear.

The men said to her,“ We will be free from this oath you made us swear,

And the men said unto her, We[ will be] blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear.

The men said to her,“ We are not bound by this oath you made us swear unless the following conditions are met:

The men said to her,“ We will be guiltless of this your oath which you’ve made us to swear.

‘ You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.

If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by some agreement, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

But the king spared Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the LORD’s oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered,“ It is because of Saul and his bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites.”So the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. And if you tell this business of ours, then we will be free from your oath which you made us swear.”

“ You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell;but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”And the servant said to him,“ Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I take your son back to the land from which you came?”But Abraham said to him,“ Beware that you do not take my son back there.The Lord God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying,‘ To your descendants I give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.And if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be released from this oath; only do not take my son back there.”
