And the men said to her,“ Our life for yours even to death! If you do not tell this business of ours, then when the Lord gives us the land we will deal kindly and faithfully with you.”

二人对她说：“你若不泄漏我们这件事，我们情愿替你们死。耶和华将这地赐给我们的时候，我们必以慈爱诚实待你。”

那二人对她说：“我们愿意以性命来替你们死。你们若不泄漏我们这件事，当耶和华将这地赐给我们的时候，我们必以慈爱和诚信待你。”

二人便对她说：“如果你不泄露我们的事，我们愿意用性命担保，当耶和华把这地方赐给我们的时候，我们一定守信善待你。”

两个探子就对她说：“如果你不泄漏我们这次行动，我们愿以性命作你们的保证；耶和华把这地赐给我们的时候，我们必定以慈爱和诚实待你们。”

二人曰、爾若不洩我事、我以己命代爾、迨耶和華予我地時、我必以仁慈誠實待爾、

二人曰、我之所為當秘勿宣、則我以己命代爾、迨耶和華以斯土予我、我必待爾以仁慈、真實無妄。

二人對曰、爾若不洩我此事、則我以己命代爾、迨主以斯地賜我民時、我必待爾以仁慈誠實、

“ Our lives for your lives!” the men assured her.“ If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the Lord gives us the land.”

So the men made a promise to her.“ If you save our lives, we’ll save yours,” they said.“ Just don’t tell anyone what we’re doing. Then we’ll be kind and faithful to you when the Lord gives us the land.”

“ We offer our own lives as a guarantee for your safety,” the men agreed.“ If you don’t betray us, we will keep our promise and be kind to you when the Lord gives us the land.”

The men answered her,“ We will give our lives for yours. If you don’t report our mission, we will show kindness and faithfulness to you when the LORD gives us the land.”

So the men said to her,“ Our life for yours if you do not tell this business of ours; and it shall come about when the Lord gives us the land that we will deal kindly and faithfully with you.”

So the men answered her,“ Our lives for yours, if none of you tell this business of ours. And it shall be, when the Lord has given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”

And the men said unto her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business; and it shall be, when Jehovah giveth us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

The men answered her,“ We will give our lives for yours. If you don’t report our mission, we will show kindness and faithfulness to you when the Lord gives us the land.”

And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

The men said to her,“ If you die, may we die too! If you do not report what we’ve been up to, then, when the LORD hands the land over to us, we will show unswerving allegiance to you.”

The men said to her,“ Our life for yours, if you don’t talk about this business of ours; and it shall be, when Yahweh gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”

“ Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Now then, if you are going to show steadfast love and faithfulness to my master, tell me; and if not, tell me, that I may turn to the right hand or to the left.”

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

And the spies saw a man coming out of the city, and they said to him,“ Please show us the way into the city, and we will deal kindly with you.”And he showed them the way into the city. And they struck the city with the edge of the sword, but they let the man and all his family go.

And Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law,“ We are setting out for the place of which the Lord said,‘ I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will do good to you, for the Lord has promised good to Israel.”But he said to him,“ I will not go. And the city and all that is within it shall be devoted to the Lord for destruction. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall live, because she hid the messengers whom we sent.

But Rahab the prostitute and her father’s household and all who belonged to her, Joshua saved alive. And she has lived in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Therefore deal kindly with your servant, for you have brought your servant into a covenant of the Lord with you. But if there is guilt in me, kill me yourself, for why should you bring me to your father?”

And David said,“ Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”
