要知道，那不施憐憫的人，要受毫無憐憫的審判；憐憫勝過審判。

如果有人不敬重屬自己的人，尤其是家裡的人，他就否定了信仰，比不信的人更壞。

愚昧無知、不守信用、沒有親情、毫無憐憫。

我怎麼能看著我的民族遭受這災禍呢？怎麼能看著我的宗族滅亡呢？」

在我活著的時候，願你以耶和華的慈愛對待我，免我死亡；在耶和華把大衛的每個仇敵從這地面上剪除的時候，願你也不要對我家斷絕慈愛，直到永遠。」於是約拿單與大衛家立約：「願耶和華從大衛仇敵的手中追討背約之罪！」約拿單因著對大衛的愛，就讓大衛再次起誓，因為他愛大衛如同愛自己的性命。

我要你指著耶和華——天和地的神起誓，不可從我所住的迦南，為我的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻；

願主施憐憫給奧尼斯弗羅的家人，因為他多次使我神清氣爽，也沒有以我的鎖鏈為恥；相反，他一到羅馬，就殷切地尋找我，並且找到了。願主使他在那日子得到主的憐憫！至於他在以弗所的一切服事工作，你知道得更清楚。

那出賣耶穌的人已經和他們定了一個暗號，說：「我如果親吻誰，誰就是那個人。你們把他抓住，小心地帶走。」

現在你要指著耶和華向我起誓，絕不剪除我的後裔，絕不從我父家除滅我的名。」於是大衛向掃羅起誓，掃羅就回自己的家去，大衛和他的部下也回要塞去了。

大衛問他：「你願意帶我下到匪徒那裡嗎？」他回答：「如果你指著神向我起誓，絕不殺我，也絕不把我交在我主人手中，我就帶你下到匪徒那裡。」

於是那僕人就把手放在他主人亞伯拉罕的大腿底下，為這事向他起誓。
