要知道，那不施怜悯的人，要受毫无怜悯的审判；怜悯胜过审判。

如果有人不敬重属自己的人，尤其是家里的人，他就否定了信仰，比不信的人更坏。

愚昧无知、不守信用、没有亲情、毫无怜悯。

我怎么能看着我的民族遭受这灾祸呢？怎么能看着我的宗族灭亡呢？”

在我活着的时候，愿你以耶和华的慈爱对待我，免我死亡；在耶和华把大卫的每个仇敌从这地面上剪除的时候，愿你也不要对我家断绝慈爱，直到永远。”于是约拿单与大卫家立约：“愿耶和华从大卫仇敌的手中追讨背约之罪！”约拿单因着对大卫的爱，就让大卫再次起誓，因为他爱大卫如同爱自己的性命。

我要你指着耶和华——天和地的神起誓，不可从我所住的迦南，为我的儿子娶他们的女儿为妻；

愿主施怜悯给奥尼斯弗罗的家人，因为他多次使我神清气爽，也没有以我的锁链为耻；相反，他一到罗马，就殷切地寻找我，并且找到了。愿主使他在那日子得到主的怜悯！至于他在以弗所的一切服事工作，你知道得更清楚。

那出卖耶稣的人已经和他们定了一个暗号，说：“我如果亲吻谁，谁就是那个人。你们把他抓住，小心地带走。”

现在你要指着耶和华向我起誓，绝不剪除我的后裔，绝不从我父家除灭我的名。”于是大卫向扫罗起誓，扫罗就回自己的家去，大卫和他的部下也回要塞去了。

大卫问他：“你愿意带我下到匪徒那里吗？”他回答：“如果你指着神向我起誓，绝不杀我，也绝不把我交在我主人手中，我就带你下到匪徒那里。”

于是那仆人就把手放在他主人亚伯拉罕的大腿底下，为这事向他起誓。
