我聞之喪膽、毫無銳氣、不敢敵爾、蓋爾上帝耶和華、乃天上地下之上帝、

我聞之心怯、各緣爾之故、魂不附體、魂不附體或作志氣盡墜蓋主爾之天主乃上天下地之天主、

When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.

When we heard about it, we were terrified. Because of you, we aren’t brave anymore. The Lord your God is the God who rules in heaven above and on the earth below.

And as soon as we heard it, our hearts melted, and there was no spirit left in any man because of you, for the Lord your God, he is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath.

No wonder our hearts have melted in fear! No one has the courage to fight after hearing such things. For the Lord your God is the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below.

When we heard this, we lost heart, and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below.

When we heard these reports, our hearts melted and no courage remained in anyone any longer because of you; for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth below.

And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

And as soon as we had heard it, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more spirit in any man, because of you: for Jehovah your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.

When we heard this, we lost heart, and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on earth below.

When we heard the news we lost our courage and no one could even breathe for fear of you. For the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below!

As soon as we had heard it, our hearts melted, and there wasn’t any more spirit in any man, because of you: for Yahweh your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.

Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other. (niv)

Because of this, all hands will go limp, every heart will melt with fear. (niv)

Then King Darius wrote to all the nations and peoples of every language in all the earth:“ May you prosper greatly!“ I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.“ For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.” (niv)

Where can we go? Our brothers have made our hearts melt in fear. They say,‘ The people are stronger and taller than we are; the cities are large, with walls up to the sky. We even saw the Anakites there.’” (niv)

At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation.All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him:“ What have you done?” (niv)

Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say,“ Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.Do people make their own gods? Yes, but they are not gods!”“ Therefore I will teach them— this time I will teach them my power and might. Then they will know that my name is the Lord. (niv)

The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of Philistia. (niv)

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted within me. (niv)

They called to the mountains and the rocks,“ Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! (niv)

Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord— that you alone are the Most High over all the earth. (niv)

but my fellow Israelites who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt in fear. I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly. (niv)

The nations will fear the name of the Lord, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory. (niv)

She is pillaged, plundered, stripped! Hearts melt, knees give way, bodies tremble, every face grows pale. (niv)

Then the officers shall add,“ Is anyone afraid or fainthearted? Let him go home so that his fellow soldiers will not become disheartened too.” (niv)

so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is no other. (niv)
