撒母耳就起來，從吉甲上到便雅憫的基比亞。掃羅數點跟隨他的百姓，約有六百人。掃羅和他兒子約拿單，以及跟隨他們的百姓，都住在便雅憫的迦巴，非利士人卻在密抹安營。

掃羅也往基比亞自己的家去，有一羣心中被神感動的勇士跟隨他。

他們過了隘口，要在迦巴住宿。拉瑪戰兢，掃羅的基比亞逃命。

以色列啊，你從基比亞的日子以來就時常犯罪，他們仍停留在那裏。攻擊罪孽之輩的戰事豈不會臨到基比亞嗎？

主人對他說：「我們不可進入外邦人的城，那不是以色列人的地方，我們越過這裏到基比亞去吧。」他又對僕人說：「來，讓我們到基比亞或拉瑪的一個地方住宿。」於是他們越過那裏往前走，將到便雅憫的基比亞的時候，太陽已經下山了。他們進入基比亞要在那裏住宿。他來坐在城裏的廣場上，但沒有人接待他們到家裏住宿。

人多的要多給他們產業，人少的要少給他們產業；各照被數的人數分配產業。

那利未人，就是被害婦人的丈夫，回答說：「我和我的妾來到便雅憫的基比亞住宿。基比亞人夜間起來攻擊我，包圍我住的屋子。他們想要殺我，並把我的妾污辱致死。

這地界又下到欣嫩子谷對面山的邊緣，就是利乏音谷的北邊；又下到欣嫩谷，沿着耶布斯斜坡的南邊，下到隱‧羅結；

至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，猶大人不能把他們趕出去。於是，耶布斯人與猶大人同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。

你們要按照宗族抽籤，承受土地：人多的要多給他們產業；人少的要少給他們產業。抽到何地給何人，那地就屬於他。你們要按照父系的支派承受產業。

當日，大衛說：「誰攻打耶布斯人，就要從水道上去，攻打我心裏所恨惡的瘸子、盲人。」因此有人說：「盲人和瘸子不得進殿裏去。」
