撒母耳就起來，從吉甲上到便雅憫的基比亞。掃羅數點跟隨他的，約有六百人。掃羅和他兒子約拿單，並跟隨他們的人，都住在便雅憫的迦巴；但非利士人安營在密抹。

掃羅往基比亞回家去，有神感動的一羣人跟隨他。

他們過了隘口，在迦巴住宿。拉瑪人戰兢；掃羅的基比亞人逃跑。

以色列啊，你從基比亞的日子以來時常犯罪。你們的先人曾站在那裏，現今住基比亞的人以為攻擊罪孽之輩的戰事臨不到自己。

主人回答說：「我們不可進不是以色列人住的外邦城，不如過到基比亞去」；又對僕人說：「我們可以到一個地方，或住在基比亞，或住在拉瑪。」他們就往前走。將到便雅憫的基比亞，日頭已經落了；他們進入基比亞要在那裏住宿，就坐在城裏的街上，因為無人接他們進家住宿。

人多的，你要把產業多分給他們；人少的，你要把產業少分給他們；要照被數的人數，把產業分給各人。

那利未人，就是被害之婦人的丈夫，回答說：「我和我的妾到了便雅憫的基比亞住宿。基比亞人夜間起來，圍了我住的房子，想要殺我，又將我的妾強姦致死。

又下到欣嫩子谷對面山的儘邊，就是利乏音谷北邊的山；又下到欣嫩谷，貼近耶布斯的南邊；又下到隱‧羅結；

至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，猶大人不能把他們趕出去，耶布斯人卻在耶路撒冷與猶大人同住，直到今日。

你們要按家室拈鬮，承受那地；人多的，要把產業多分給他們；人少的，要把產業少分給他們。拈出何地給何人，就要歸何人。你們要按宗族的支派承受。

當日，大衛說：「誰攻打耶布斯人，當上水溝攻打我心裏所恨惡的瘸子、瞎子。」從此有俗語說：「在那裏有瞎子、瘸子，他不能進屋去。」
