再上到欣嫩子谷，到达耶布斯南面的山坡，耶布斯就是耶路撒冷；又上到欣嫩子谷西边的山顶，就是在利乏音的北端；

于是撒母耳动身，从吉甲上便雅悯的基比亚去；扫罗数点跟随他的人，约有六百人。扫罗和他的儿子约拿单，以及跟随他们的人都停留在便雅悯的迦巴，非利士人却在密抹安营。

扫罗也回基比亚自己的家里去了，有一些勇士与他一起回去；他们的心都被神感动。

他们过了隘口，在迦巴住宿；拉玛人战兢，扫罗的基比亚人逃跑。

以色列啊！从基比亚的日子以来，你就犯罪，他们仍然留在那里，难道攻击恶人的战祸不能在基比亚赶上他们吗？

主人对他说：“我们不可转到这座不是以色列人居住的外族人的城里去，我们过到基比亚去吧。”又对他的仆人说：“来吧，我们可以到这些地方其中一个去投宿，或在基比亚或在拉玛。”于是他们走路过去；他们走近便雅悯人的基比亚的时候，日头已经落了。他们从那里转身，要进基比亚去住宿；他们进去，坐在城里的广场上，因为没有人接待他们到家里去住宿。

人数多的，你要把产业多分给他们；人数少的，你要把产业少分给他们；要按着数点的人数，把产业分给各家族。

那利未人，就是被害的妇人的丈夫，回答说：“我和我的妾到了便雅悯的基比亚，要在那里住宿。基比亚人民起来攻击我，在夜间包围我住的房子攻击我，有意杀害我；他们把我的妾污辱致死。

又下到欣嫩子谷前面的山边，就是利乏音谷北面的山；再下到欣嫩谷，去到耶布斯人的南边，又下去隐．罗结；

至于住在耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，犹大人不能把他们赶走；所以耶布斯人在耶路撒冷与犹大人同住，直到今日。

你们要按着家族抽签承受那地作产业；人多的，要把产业多分给他们；人少的，要把产业少分给他们；抽签抽出那地归谁，就归谁；你们要按着宗族支派承受产业。

那一天大卫说：“攻打耶布斯人的，要把大卫心中恨恶的‘瞎子’和‘瘸子’丢进水沟里。”因此有句俗语说：“瞎眼的或瘸腿的，都不能进殿里。”
